    Pros

The best supervisors and coworkers. There is also time to develop and gain new multimedia skills professionally and personally.

    Cons

It can get pretty hectic and inconvenient to work on weekdays. Sometimes people who request assistance are impatient.

    Advice to Management

    N/A

    Pros

Flexible schedules and placement within Gorecki Dining Center

    Cons

Not the most flexible on switching shifts or helping you find a sub. Didn't get the option of the job of my choice until my 4th year working there.

I worked at College of Saint Benedict (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great team environment, supervisors are helpful and want you to succeed, your team feels like family.

    Cons

If any, it would be that most shifts are evening only, but that's not really a con, just something to know. Sometime you work Saturdays/Sundays too, one shift a month.

    Advice to Management

Keep engaging the callers and keep up the great training procedures!

    Positive Outlook

I worked at College of Saint Benedict part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Generally speaking, I've never had an unpleasant campus job here, and all my supervisors and coworkers have been friendly, supportive, and pleasant.

    Cons

Work awards are capped at 12hrs/week, which is sometimes frustrating since it would be nice to have the chance to work more and make a little more money. Other places in town offer a higher hourly wage, but that's the tradeoff for the convenience of on-campus location.

    Advice to Management

It would be nice to be able to work a few more hours every week, anywhere from 12-20hrs/week. The SELT carnival every year is always fun!

    Negative Outlook

I worked at College of Saint Benedict full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Education benefit is still there and good but they will most likely get rid of it because they are doing so poor financially and cannot fill a class.

    Cons

Not doing well financially due to poor leadership and lack of vision at the top. The VPs are riding it out to retirement and not held accountable for anything. Lack of integrity, Low employee morale and reputation for treating employees unfairly.

I have been working at College of Saint Benedict full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The College of St. Benedict and St. John's University in Minnesota is a wonderful place to teach. I have met some of the best, most intelligent, and most ethically/politically engaged students at this school. Not all students are like this, but within just a few weeks teaching here I felt part of a community.

    Cons

Like other private liberal arts schools, CSB/SJU was not able to retain adjunct/visiting faculty. The school is also located in the middle of snow-swept prairies, about 80 minutes from Minneapolis.

    Advice to Management

Continue to seek out excellent faculty.
