I have been working at College of Western Idaho full-time

    Pros

Has excellent benefits through the state.

    Cons

Very poor leadership! No advancement opportunities for those who adhere to the values of the organization. The newest addition to upper management is oppressive and staff moral has gone down significantly because they are told they have no value and are expendable. The best employees are verbally abused until they leave or those in middle management can create a reason to fire them. Only women have a any chance of advancement, if you are male stay away. If you are hired you will only be promoted if you are "eye candy" to the female leadership, but you will never leave that particular position. If you have any intelligence or innovation, you will be harassed until you leave or stop caring.

    Advice to Management

do everybody a favor and leave so we can get some real leadership!

I have been working at College of Western Idaho full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Students are nice. When you can avoid admin and focus on students you forget how bad things are at CWI. There are some great students.

    Cons

This college is a quite bad to work for. No focus on students. It is all about pleasing administrators. Do it or your classes get cut, programs gets cut, and you get cut.

    Advice to Management

    We need new management

I worked at College of Western Idaho part-time

    Pros

This position was very flexible with my busy fulltime schedule as a student! The staff was very friendly and helpful. They offered me guidance throughout my various decisions as a student trying to define my career path.

The pay was very low. The technology and processes felt very out-of-date which was disappointing because I was trying to learn the latest, most innovative means of working within a relatively new business.
