I worked at College of Wooster full-time

    Pros

Great people to work with, students are very smart and ask wonderful questions.

    Cons

Long working hours made work/life balance a real struggle.

I worked at College of Wooster part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Worked in the Strength Center during the summer:
    - Easy work
    - Only responsibilities were really to occasionally clean the equipment and clean up at the end of the night

    Cons

Could be dull especially if no one came in... though at the same time as long as you are alert to what's going on around you they don't really care what you do at the desk

I worked at College of Wooster full-time

    Pros

The head coach is simply wonderful. You will have to opportunity to voice your oppositions and design your own workouts and be listened to.

    Cons

Athletic department is really unfair and illogical. There were open offices and I was forced to work in the student worker area and with coaches were packed two to a cubical.

    Pros

Didn't really have much work, sat there and did my homework. People hardly came up to me.

    Cons

Too boring at times, there was hardly any traffic at the circulation desk. But I enjoyed it as well, so not sure if it counts as a con

    Advice to Management

I think there needs to be more encouragement for the students to use library resources, theres so much yet so little being used.

I have been working at College of Wooster full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great health benefits. They also give you 12% retirement match if you put in 3%. Awesome colleagues. Beautiful campus.

    Cons

My dept. structure. My job didn't have any advancement opportunities. Supervisors weren't in the know. Apparently there were political forces at work when you asked for a raise. Base pay was below average.

    Advice to Management

Understand employee benefits and how to request raises for employees. Treat all employees the same.

I worked at College of Wooster (Less than a year)

    Pros

The responsibilities were minimal and the pool remained empty for the majority of the time that I was on duty
Great way to earn money while attending the college
Allows guards who are not watching the pool to work/study while on standby

    Cons

When your shift ends at the same time that you have to be at class can become a problem (particularly if the life guard in the next shift arrives late)

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. It is not a bad job to work at all. No changes need to be made!

    Pros

I loved my time as a working student at the college. There is a great work/class/life balance and I had a great relationship with my supervisors and co-workers.

    Cons

I can't think of any cons in retrospect.
