    Pros

Brokers are awesome to work with. Other admins make the workplace fun. Wouldn’t work here if it wasn’t for the brokers I support.

    Cons

Management forces exempt staff to work 40 hours a week even if they get the job done in less hours. Doesn’t value exceptional performance. No one in the staff is pushing the needle forward. Benefits and compensation is a joke.

    Advice to Management

Be empathetic. Take some new management courses. Be flexible with schedules.

The culture is great as there are always incentives and activities to take part in
    Management cares

    Cons

Not a lot of room for growth in an admin role

    Pros

If you land yourself with the right team, you have the opportunity to be bonused out pretty well with a share of the brokers commission.

    Cons

Hardly any culture building takes place. And if it does, not many people participate because of the busy broker schedule.

    Advice to Management

Letting people leave early on an occasional friday or before a holiday or even planning a work social event now and again really goes a long way...

    Pros

Travel - I guess..when they aren’t second guessing you about how to get the work done. Jr. empty suit managers without a clue - yes that has its advantages

    Cons

Micro managed to the teeth - old guard infinitely incapable of actual leadership - yikes!!! Will pretend to care about their people and heartlessly question when a family member dies - where’s the service, I’d like to see an obit heartless c’nts!!

    Advice to Management

Sad - you guys need to first understand true leadership - btw 1:1’s are not meetings for status updates - just pathetic - let’s play Manager today boys and girls

    Pros

It looks good on your resume. Helped me transition to a new company.

    Cons

Colliers becomes your family - you will NOT see or be able to spend time with your family. This is highly frowned upon. PTO is something you take but you will be required to work about 4 hours for every day of PTO you take. For instance, take a day and be charged with 8 hours of PTO but you will end up logging in and working for at least 4 hours. Holidays (hahaha) same thing.

There is no SINCERE appreciation. You work on your PTO and holidays and work 10 -12 hour days and then get called out for not doing something. Like I said no one cares about the employees or the middle managers - they just care about the $$$.

    Pros

Great marketing team. All their content is fresh and creative for each deal.

    Cons

Management is solely focused on numbers and less about your personal growth

    Advice to Management

listen and help the people below you. A leader is only a leader if people want to follow you
