I have been working at Colorado Christian University full-time

    Pros

After one year of full time employment, employees and their spouses and dependents receive free tuition, paying only books and tech fees for each class.

    Cons

There is a higher than average expectation for impeccable integrity. Employees must maintain positive attitude that contributes to team morale.

    Advice to Management

If you seek a position in management, expect to be held accountable to high measures of performance and to rely on your own initiative for innovation and team motivation.

I worked at Colorado Christian University part-time

    Pros

Great opportunity to learn new skills and to meet high profile politicians. A lot of event planning.

    Cons

Not much room for pay increase since it is a non profit functioning out of a school.

I have been working at Colorado Christian University full-time

    Pros

    Great people
    Deeply-held values (strategic objectives)
    Teamwork among advisors and supervisors
Seeing students succeed (both in-seat and online students)

    Cons

Mostly advising online students (can also be a positive)
Not much travel between campuses, due to emphasis on online students

    Advice to Management

Management does a good job of being supportive, while also allowing advisors to think creatively when reacting to students' inquiries.

    Pros

I enjoy the students and environment tremendously. I feel supported by the colleagues that I know.

    Cons

It is a great deal of work for very little compensation, so you must decide to take this position for the love of what you are doing. $3,000 per course.

    Pros

Excellent University with great campus culture, location, employees and faculty. Close to both downtown Denver and the Mountains, fantastic group of people.

    Cons

Construction occurring constantly, which does mean that campus will look fantastic and new amenities will be in place.

-leadership usually tries to get in good graces by getting food or having a meeting
-those who voice their opinion are usually the ones to leave
    - terrible pay, benefits are only good if you are single

    Advice to Management

    What would Jesus do, seriously.

    Pros

Warm, friendly environment. Great benefits. Good co-workers and an opportunity to be a part of something great. Technologies used were up to par with the rest of the world for the most part.

    Cons

Low pay because it is a non-profit. and a sharp division between upper management and the average worker. Sometimes I felt upper management didn't have a clue what was happening in the trenches.

    Advice to Management

Please make some effort to find out what really is happening among the people who are doing the actual work and don't just listen to your favorites.
