"Admissions Advisor"

NONE besides decent pay and even the pay is not worth the things you may have to deal with on a daily basis
Cons
EVERYTHING. From day one you are lied to about what your job as an admissions advisor is. They very cleverly avoid the word "sales" but in essence that is what you are except this place is completely unethical even an open sales environment did not push this hard for numbers. It is all about metrics and if you are not achieving ridiculous metrics such as an average of four hours of talk time a day, you have to hit your monthly enrollment number and not only that but make sure your enrollments start and do their assignments and attend class yay more metrics, you also have to make a certain amount of outbound dials every day. Management is very very numbers oriented that is all they care about, if you are not producing some managers are very very very micromanagerial and will ask you every day what your plan is to improve your numbers. TIP: If you have any ethics get out before you get fired, unlike myself who was let go because I called in sick with proof from a doctor's office. I am glad I was let go because I was going to leave on my own either way just wish I could have done it on my own terms. This place is literally H E double hockey sticks.,

Nice company, nice pay...but...
Nov 19, 2015 - Admissions Advisor in Schaumburg, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The company by far pays some of the highest salary ranges for admissions in the for profit sector.
Cons
I wish there was more opportunity to grow. Lots of hoops and politics to jump through for advancement.

Do NOT work here!!!!!
Nov 6, 2020 - National Admission Advisor in Schaumburg, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
They offer very good pay
Cons
They prey on the elderly, disabled, intellectually disabled, and people getting out of jail. They make you sign up people who do not know what they are signing up for! These people do not want to go to school. It’s high pressure sales. They will tell you it is advising. It is not. The managers micromanage. They are full of criticism and will not work with you. They do not use your strengths at all. I felt very unethical. I felt like a used car salesman. It felt disgusting.

Wolf of Schaumburg
Sep 23, 2015 - Interim Director of Admissions in Chicago, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The pay is great! No degree can make 20-25 dollars starting off. The building is nice and the location is ideal. It is located by Woodfield mall. Could be a good school but management has to be replaced. You will meet some great people who may be co-workers or students, less likely your management unfortunately will fall in this category ;(
Cons
Crazy schedules, often asked to work 60 plus hours a week. No time for anything else. Kept on a scored card that makes it pretty apparent if you don't get a certain amount of enrollments or students you will no longer work here. A lot of pressure to do illegal things, such as enroll students who are mentally, socially challenged, senior citizens, poor and minorities as well as military veterans are targeted. You start feeling bad of your role in manipulating people..
