Some of the upper management was fun to work with. Work from home. Pay is okay.
Cons
Wow…. I could write a list of the things wrong with this place. My biggest issue was that they say they are student focused but in reality they are just money hungry. You are constantly chasing down students, calling them, and then basically harassing them to get back into class when their attendance is high so that they are not withdrawn (less money for the company then). They don’t care what is going on with the students, they just want to make sure they are not withdrawn so that they can keep making money off them. They enroll people without a GED/HS diploma and let them be in school for 2-3 session before locking them out. Meanwhile those students are racking up a bill that they will have to pay. Next is management… what a doozy. There are a FEW people in management that actually care about the coaches that work below them and will get to know you and try to help you grow. That being said, most of management could care less about the coaches or their opinions. We would voice the same concerns over and over and nothing would ever change. When a coach would try and offer a suggestion for improvement it would take months for them to get back with an answer or they would just say we will take that into consideration and we would hear nothing. They would make empty promises left and right and “reward” us with free food. How about a raise so that employees that have been there longer are not making the same amount as a new hire? There are little to no opportunists for growth. They overlook the coaches that have been there awhile and do not develop them enough to do management. This is not an advising job. It’s a call center job. You are expected to make 65+ outbound calls a day(2.1 hour talk time a day) , plus meetings, plus dialers. (Which is when the phone automatically dials students and you just talk when they answer… and those don’t count for talk time or outbound calls).

I do not recommend position/company!
Jun 10, 2022 - National Admssions Advisor in Schaumburg, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The only pro I can think of is that it was a work from home position.
Cons
Micro management. Also, I was told that we assist students that call in wanting to attend our online university. But I’m reality, we called and harrassed people to try to force them to stay on the phone to enroll into a school. We received their numbers from online when people enter their numbers on job sites. So if you didn’t force enough people to enroll into school for the week then you’re penalized. You were also expected to read a very detailed and verbatim script which included asking about their personal lives (literally was expected to ask them how their parents and loved ones felt about them returning to school). It was absolutely ridiculous to say the least.

Flexible, Friendly and Professional
Oct 3, 2017 - Marketing Manager in Schaumburg, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Daily schedules are pretty flexible as long as you're there during core business hours and put in your time. You can even work from home a few times a month, depending on your department's leadership. Compensation is also highly competitive.
Cons
There are a lot of internal and leadership changes, but managers are good about reassuring of the bigger picture.

Pros
You get to set your own hours and completely work from home. The courses are only 5.5 weeks. You can teach up to 2 classes a session. You can take off up to 2 session in a row.
Cons
Treat employees like a math algorithm that has a final number, not based on true substance for your performance. Positive change is SLOW and and turn over is fast.
