      Approves of CEO

I have been working at Columbia Threadneedle Investments full-time for more than 10 years

      Pros

Amazing people work here. Very diverse groups. Good benefits. Community/Volunteer work is big here and they will match your donations. Executive Management hold many town halls to keep us informed. Solid company and growing.

      Cons

Pay can be on the low end if you are not in the right departments. Some areas are hard to move up. Long tenures here which is good for the company but not for advancing for others. Need better technology.

      Advice to Management

Keep evolving and adapting to changes in the tech world. Provide more training amongst employees in technology. Advertising more and know your target audience.

      Pros

Decision making autonomy on investments; work with smart people.

      Cons

HR and Legal stifle creativity. Cost cutting their way to glory. Nothing innovative ever happens here.

      Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Columbia Threadneedle Investments full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

I have a good work life balance, but only because I am bored and leave early most days.

      Cons

Low moral among employees and very negative working environment. Management doesn't seem to care about employees and it shows. Most upper management employees come off as narcissistic and are only focused on meeting bottom line deadlines. Very hard to move up in the company once you are in an individual contributor role.

      Advice to Management

Try to make employees feel wanted. It is clear that mid to upper management has tunnel vision and will sacrifice employee well being for the bottom line.

I worked at Columbia Threadneedle Investments full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Downtown location is nice (if your commute in isn't terribly long)

      Cons

No mentorship from senior leaders and management, there's a clear divide between management and those below They only hire usually senior roles, very top heavy, no growth opportunity for more junior roles No local HR support for employees Won't take suggestions for updated processes, or say they'll talk about ideas and never do 50 shades of beige for an office environment, it's depressing, kitchens are little...

      Advice to Management

I have no idea how this company has made it, it is so antiquated. No idea where to begin giving advice.
