I have been working at Combined Insurance full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

To give you all the tools you need to be successful. If you’re good with camber same door knocking and talk in the current customers then you will have a chance to make a good income

    Cons

They give you all the tools you need to be successful. If you’re good with canvassing, door knocking and talk to current customers then you will have a chance to make a good income

    Advice to Management

This is not an easy job must be willing to put the work into it to succeed. It’s not a structure job and is totally up to you to go to work. Very easy to just give up and stay home. There are days where there is a Lotta driving and long hours. You get out of it what you put into it if you want to make a good income you have to work

I worked at Combined Insurance (Less than a year)

    Pros

Combined sells accident and sickness policies to individuals. Good product that is needed especially with the state of health insurance today. They provide you with training at their home office in Chicago. The flight and the room were paid by them. After finishing their Sales School, you are provided with a company Ipad for your sales. The opportunity is there to make good money. But, you have to work at it. Make sure you have money in reserve to get you through the slow periods and when the unexpected comes up. I had a good management team that was supportive.

    Cons

This is a commission sales job. You are in charge of your own business. The potential is there but it can be slow starting out so be prepared.

    Advice to Management

I had a supportive management team.

I worked at Combined Insurance full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I was a commissioned employee so I was on my own most of the time. I was also in control of my schedule for the most part.

    Cons

"Fake it 'til you make it". "Positive mental attitude". No matter how bad things get you are told it is great.

    Advice to Management

Find a way to make sure your average employees can make a living. "Sink or swim" is not a good mentality for people's livelihood.

I have been working at Combined Insurance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

many levels of management allows for opportunity to advance-Great sales training in Chicago-good field training.

    Cons

Door to Door sales in less than desirable areas, too many meetings, few customers see the value of these products as they are offered by too many other companies with better features at less cost(AFLAC-Colonial), way too many charge backs. Life insurance product is sold with less than honest approach

    Advice to Management

make sure new employees know what they are getting themselves into-too much work for the compensation. Charge backs eat away at true earnings.
