Pros
Second to none training All materials provided Needs-based selling Semi flexible schedule Good product base Bonus Potential They pick up tab for business trips Good trips to earn
Cons
Aggressive pushing from VPs to MDs to TMs to 'hit numbers'. Lot of hypocriticial action from upper management. Misrepresention!!! Will say they provide leads but the leads are used up 'active customers' who are burned up about being contacted so much. Uses leads to 'trap' employees but then told to cold call and cold call some more. Will hire up anybody and then expect TMs to train people who should have never been hired. Pay sheets are IMPOSSIBLE to read. Even as a TM, I am uneducated on them. Have heard a number of claims issues. Schedule may be flexible but it's a lot of long hours and weekends. Pay structure is impossible to follow. (expecially for TMs and expecially the new 2011 concept) Seems to have a lot of responsibility for such a small base salary at the management level. As a W2 company, even managers are treated as 1099s. Expected to pay all phone, computer, fax, office supply out of pocket. (was not give a program necessary to do my job and I refuse to pay 200$ out of my pocket for it...Microsoft Office)

Company focused on compensation, not the employee or the experience

You can make your own hours. Lot of training that does provide a lot of knowledge. They provide a per diem for training and take care of the hotel and travel.
Cons
Commission Only and training is UNPAID. No benefits until 6 months. Must work long hours and be very persistent to make enough sales. Company does not back you and allows some things to go on that shouldn't. Company culture is set up to make everyone, even your boss, compete against you. Your boss, the TM, probably doesn't do things by the books and a lot are useless. All costs are out of your pocket. Company micromanages and requires a lot of check-ins and calls beyond your hours that you work.

Pros
IF they decide to they can give you leads.
Cons
Way too many to name. Leaders are really unprofessional in my opinion. They will tell you they pay you for training. Once you are in they find a reason not to pay you. It's long hours and a lot of travel. If you have a problem you can't complain. Complaints are seen as negative behavior. Don't disclose a disability either.

Good training, opportunity to make money, good sales incentives
Cons
Uses old leads. You basically recycle leads and call the same customers always trying to add more policies. When you first start training they are all about helping you. They help put money on your books. As soon as you are out of training if you don’t write business..they say it’s your fault and fire you for non-production. I found out I had been “let go at a client appointment when I tried to log into my iPad. I called IT in front of the customer and was told I had been let go for non-production. They didn’t even have the audacity to tell me. They expect you to work long hours and travel. They are constantly putting each team member up against the other.

Decent pay if you are good with people.

Long hours (5 to 6 10 to 12 hour days) an excessive amount of meetings. Meetings twice a week and sent out of town for meetings about once a month effectively losing 2 days of field work.
