    Pros

People were excited to have interns
    Friendly and helpful co workers

    Cons

No projects or direction for internship.
I often had little to do or work on
A lot of time waiting for requests to be fulfilled (access to software, etc)

    Advice to Management

Design a project for an intern to work on over the course of the summer before they arrive, or within the first week

I worked at Comerica full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I met a handful of decent people.

    Cons

Everything about this job is trash. I was judged fot not wearing makeup, I was juddged and not respected because I am younger than 30. The only thing this company cares about is their bottom line. Employees are just peasants and the only way you MAY receive respect is if you're in a management position. No advancement opportunities. Sales driven business forcing sales on customers who are not interested, or have all of the products offered by Comerica. Outdated business model and concepts. Outdated systems. Overall negative morale in all the positions and locations I have worked at. Unrealistic goals to acheive.

    Advice to Management

If you need to address things with employees, do so with confidentiality and respect. Be a manager, not a micromanager - most of the employees have worked the same job, 5 days a week for most of their lives, none of us need reassurance on how to do things properly.

I have been working at Comerica full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Flexibility and work life balance is main reason I stay. Benefits are also very great when compared to other financial institutions.

    Cons

Very hard to get promoted even if every single year your employee reviews are "outstanding" - you can still expect no more than a 2% increase.

    Advice to Management

Help employee's grow so they can move to more challenging positions. From what I have seen, they will post jobs to go through the motions, but have already chosen the candidate therefore not allowing anyone else a chance.
