Pros
Benefits are good for full time employees
Cons
Hired as part time with no benefits, but the whole 4 months I worked there I worked full time hours. No flexibility in the schedule for part time employees. 1 week after training was required to work on my own with no other teller for 2 days a week handling both drive through and lobby, causing me to feel pressured into moving faster, resulting in mistakes. Talked to Teller supervisor and branch manager about this.

Pros
Very conservative bank and there is a lot of job security. They value customers and strive to have a good company culture. Benefits are good but you do pay for them.
Cons
Despite performance a great political game is a must. It is so secure that people tend to get in a position and delay advancement of others as well. Several factors for advancement can work against you.

Commerce bank is a conservative banking company that specializes in commercial lending. Good Core Values.

Adequate compensation and superior employee benefits make this a good place to work. Friendly atmosphere with good core values. Emphasis on developing new products for customers bodes well for the future. Political infighting is no worse than most banks. This bank avoided the mortgage mess currently plaguing many large financial institutions.
Cons
A reluctance to recognize the value of telecommuting. Exceptionally high performance review goals insure that 99 % of employees will never qualify for telecommuting. Conservative values sometimes make it difficult for the company to recognize the benefits of newer technologies.

Not appreciated and more expectations without higher wages

Good benefit and several locations
Cons
Wasteful use of money with sales rally and sale brochures instead of decent raises to employees that would help with the increase of the cost of living. Bonuses and salaries of upper management should be frozen or cut because without the workers the goals of the company would not be met. Bank regulations have cut into revenue and customers and employees will pay the price. Customers will be charged for everything the bank can think of and employees raises will either for some no raise and others a very small increase that will hardly make a difference in their take home pay. Upper management gives themselves huge increase in their salary without a care of their employees and their struggle to make ends meet.
