Loans is one of the easiest departments to work in. Co-workers on immediate team are extremely helpful if you need it.

Thank you for your honest feedback. Work/life balance is very important to us and I’m sure it is to you as well, so we’re happy to see that is something you were pleased with. We will take your comments about pay under advisement. We know monetary compensation is important to you- after all, we are a bank- but we haven’t thrived for 150 years by thinking it’s the only thing that’s important. In addition to our competitive compensation package, we offer a complete rewards program that supports your health and wellness, and your future financial security. Thank you again for your response and your 3+ years as a part of the team!

Pros
401k is good, insurance okay, love the people I work with.
Cons
Parental leave is poor, pay is not competitive with the market. Upper management is not understanding nor flexible with home circumstances. Constantly playing a game with risking getting trouble at work or taking care of myself and my children. Hospital excused absences still count towards absence counseling unless you are admitted overnight. Unattainably high sales goals compared to the points per product. No pleasing management, you either meet your buckets, meet your cara, or meet your points. Never all 3. Work life balance is not optimal when you are working overtime every week. I have been told to reschedule surgeries for my children because it didn't work with the schedule because turnover rate is SO high.

Work/Life Balance Doesn't Exist
Sep 15, 2021 - Software Engineer-IV in Kansas City, MORecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
A lot of long tenured people at the bank, and it used to proudly be attributed to company stability, culture, work life balance, and you espoused these benefits and more. However, over the last year plus the work life balance has been destroyed and it’s become a broadly discussed concern of many senior IT developers. This has become the new norm and gone on for so long it’s affected the culture. The resulting effect is many are looking for other opportunities and we’ve already begun losing people.
Cons
#No Work life Balance #Declining culture

Pros
I got to work with some really great people in other departments. The location of the office was nice and centrally located. Work life balance is good and easy going. Also, banker holidays are a nice perk.
Cons
There is not a lot of career advancement opportunities so don't expect anything fast. There are a lot of people who have been there for 10, 20+ years and are just trying to coast to retirement so that does not help. Also the management leaves a lot to be desired and the corporate culture is somewhat toxic with a lot of favoritism and a lot of shunning of new ideas. The company just keeps adding more layers of management that makes it more difficult to get things done. Management in my department was really disorganized and generally not approachable.
