I worked at Commercial Jet full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great learning experience for people looking to get into the aviation industry.

    Family atmosphere upon coworkers.

    Tons of over time .

    Cons

Pay was low compare to other MRO companies. $14.75hr that's holding a A&P

Work schedule needs to be adjusted. Maybe you got lucky worked Monday- Thursday or you worked Friday- Tuesday say goodbye to weekends .

    HR not your friend

    Advice to Management

Payment always motivates workers to turn over a better product. Better to have 1 worker making $30hr than 2 making $15hr.

Train ,consult, have some mentorship to the new guys don't throw into wild .

I worked at Commercial Jet full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good place for entry level employee looking to start aviation career..... night shift is better to work not to many chiefs around

    Cons

Bad vacation... sick and pto... good ole boy mentality when it comes to leads and supervision even if your qualifications are met you still don't get the job

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees and in the end the company will be a great place for everyone to work

I worked at Commercial Jet (More than a year)

    Pros

It was a job. Owner and his minions are awful but there are a lot of good, hard working mechanics that have a lot of talent and pride in what they do.
Benefits (Medical, Dental 401k) are decent

    Cons

Company is run like a sweat shop. Employees are treated like a number. Morale is terrible, pay is low for the industry. It's a place to start if you are desperate and need a job and have no other options.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees with respect. Hire qualified leaders not just promote friends and girlfriends into positions they are no where near qualified for. Listen to the employees needs and stop changing policies multiple times a year.
Stop belittling employees with bad language and yelling whether it be verbally or in writing.

I worked at Commercial Jet full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Can't think of any unless you are from the area

    Cons

They hire lots of unskilled mechanics, dangerous work environment. Survive off of bottom feeder companies looking to get the cheapest price for work on their aircraft

    Advice to Management

Hire experienced licensed mechanics and spend a little money on a training program instead of getting tax kickbacks from the state. Communist run company!!!

    Cons

No Honesty with managrment.. instead honestly saying the workload is not enough layoffs maybe needed they decided to find reasons to fire people...they also do not like to be disagreed with, no matter if they are wrong or not... has no employee relationship, and too many rumors of bad customer relationships... OSHA would have a field day if did a surprise inspection...

    Advice to Management

Fire everyone, and bring in all new management team..

    Pros

Virtually none. Aside from having a job to hold you over until something else comes along, there is no reason to work here.

    Cons

Pay on the on, or even below, the low end of the scale. Management and planning is horrible. Constant safety regulation violations. Very high number of inexperienced employees. Lack of proper tooling. Irresponsible and incompetent leads. Questionable work load. Low morale. Rude and dismissive HR department. Need I go on?

    Advice to Management

Get your head out of your collective butts and lead. Stand up for your employees and make sure they have the tooling and parts they need. Address and fix safety issues instead of ignoring them.

    Pros

Very few, if no, positive remarks to comment about the Company. Small shop which allows for individuals to see many facets of the business interact.

    Cons

The ownership of the Company micromanaged every function, consistently paid personnel below market, and benefit were non-existent. Favoritism was rampant.

I have been working at Commercial Jet full-time

    Pros

Good place for beginners to learn and easy to achieve higher job titles for resume builders.

    Cons

A serious lack of funds in the company. The door mods have been a good source of income, but are running slim. Tooling is scarce, and parts are ordered as needed rather than ahead of time.

    Advice to Management

Find investors. This company is being severely hurt by lack of morale.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

To boost Moral need to give raises to each employee who has worked there more than one year in each department. Need to show more appreciation to hard working employees or the business will not last for long
