    Negative Outlook

I worked at Commonwealth of Massachusetts full-time

    Pros

It was great to work at a campground. That meant I had a built in audience. Programs are fun and can be on various topics.

    Cons

We can often be drowned in paperwork that seems unnecessary

    Advice to Management

    Reduce paperwork.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Commonwealth of Massachusetts for more than 2 years

    Pros

Great coworkers, good benefits, beautiful places to work. Decent pay. If you like doing programs for the public, you would enjoy this job.

    Cons

Majority of work is seasonal. Hard to make ends meet. Programming is restricted to what your RIC wants to do, so the level of fun in this job really depends on whether or not you get along with your supervisor.

    Advice to Management

Extend the work season by a few months, or you will keep losing employees who need a paycheck to make ends meet.

      Neutral Outlook

I worked at Commonwealth of Massachusetts full-time for more than 4 years

      Pros

Our DCR state parks are amazing and the bulk of our visitors are great too.

      Cons

Our state parks are underfunded. Employees are doing the best they can, but it is often difficult.

      Advice to Management

Help state parks get more funding. Year-round facilities are left idle because of lack of staffing. What a waste!
