I worked at Communications Design & Management P/L full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great work environment, company does care about its employees, great team to work with & the IT Team was awesome :)

Very lenient and relaxed. Seniors actually understand people have a life outside of work & bend over backwards to ensure that you can balance out your work / life situation.

    Cons

Just filling the 20 word minimum. Don't really have any complaints I guess

I worked at Communications Design & Management P/L full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The first few years we had a great team environment making it enjoyable to come into the office and the work life balance was fantastic, basically 9-5 Monday to Friday.

    Cons

No opportunities for development and Management continually tried to sell services without providing support to the team. That made meeting targets difficult without training or guidance. The office became stale and you often saw staff on youtube or facebook throughout the day

    I worked at Communications Design & Management P/L full-time

    Pros

Good location with nice coffee shops near by!

    Cons

Poor management with absolutely no respect for the employee. Personnel turnover is so high it has negatively impacted moral levels. Nothing or little was done to alleviate this problem in my short time working there.

    Advice to Management

Management immune to advice or suggestions from staff or former employees.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

    Nothing good about this company

    Cons

Owner is totally disengaged, incompetent and incredibly aggressive and negative. In the words of the NSW General Manager, they have "no strategy" and it is very evident in all aspects of the company. Walking into the office each day is like visiting a grave yard. Some staff actually bring pillows to the office to take naps at their desk. You can only feel sorry for the few poor souls stranded in such a terrible company.

    Advice to Management

Stop wasting your (time and money. The company has been going backers for years and is circling the plug hole. You are not a serious integrator in Sydney and without a new owner and totally new management you have no hope.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Communications Design & Management P/L as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people, good corporate culture. The owner and director will stick up for your values if you bring up an issue. Generally a positive fun place to work and develop project skills.

    Cons

I found myself pulling long hard hours, and it can be difficult to get ahead with many trying to climb technical or PM ladders

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

Good autonomy. Occasional good projects with major clients. Good people. Freedom to come and go.

    Cons

Little career progression. Management roles are ejector seats. Complete lack of management communication and governance.

    Advice to Management

Sell it off, invest the proceeds and take time to enjoy a few leisure activities. You don't have the passion to manage a company. If you want to turn it around, start listening to people, make some informed decisions about who you can trust and take a more active and positive interest in what is going on. Have the courage to surround yourself with people who will disagree with you.
