    Cons

    - Can be political
    - Culture isn't always team oriented

    Advice to Management

Keep working on building a supportive environment beyond the executive level and hold all employees accountable to that vision.

I have been working at Communications Electronics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great family owned company that really cares about their employees. Great benefits, great people.

    Cons

They are growing so fast that it is hard to find employees quickly enough to cover all of the work...so you do stay very busy.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! Easy going, down to earth management with real world ideals....they understand real life and support their employees.

    Pros

Family owned business with owners who really know the comm business and treats their employees fairly

    Cons

Over saturated cellular phone market is very competitive and not much gross commission

    Advice to Management

Promote faster and more often . Increase incentives for our performers and tenured exemplary employees

I have been working at Communications Electronics full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

38 year old family owned business works hard to balance career, promote growth, provide training and reward in an ever changing industry.

    Cons

It is family owned, though not exclusively, so senior management career opportunities may be limited. However, 2 sr manager positions have been added recently, both non-family members. All of management work extremely hard and care.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing!

I worked at Communications Electronics part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Flexible hours
    Friendly staff
    No unattainable sales goals

    Cons

Everyone in upper management seems to have the same few last names...however, I will say that becoming a manager or assistant manager at the store level is definitely attainable.

    Pros

I would say that the place understands the balance between work life and personal life. The compensation plan also balances between how many hours you work. So if you work only a few hours that week, you are only required to sell so many phones.

    Cons

Basic phones don't make commission. Some people refuse to buy a smart phone and that can have big impacts on your commission and averages.

    Advice to Management

Pay out on basic phones. At he very least make them count towards your tier. I know AT&T still pays you.

    Pros

You are treated with respect and integrity. It's a large enough company to feel legitimate, but small enough to still feel like a family.

    Cons

More people want to work there than there are job openings.

    Pros

Family friendly company. Fair treatment of employees. Good salaries and commissions. Can make a decent living and a career. Lots of long term employees.

    Cons

Difficult sales environment and economy to work in. CE does a great job reacting to change and partnering with its strategic partners.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you do
