    Pros

Pay and benefits were pretty good for the area. On the surface, the company culture is pretty good.

    Cons

There is a definite lack of good communication between managers and employees, and between departments. Training for new employees is terrible. Initiative is not rewarded, only doing exactly what you are told (if you are lucky enough to be told and in a direct, clear manner).

    Advice to Management

New hires should be given an overview of what each department is about, how they work together, etc. Recognize that just because someone is a good employee does not make them good at training others.

    Pros

Freedom of telecommuting. Travel to client sites. Ability to self-manage Bob Stork is an amazing man who believes in his company, his commitment to employees and the customers in Florida.

    Cons

Very disorganized. Last minute decisions that place customer/future customer needs last because of last minute major meeting decisions. Lack of pre-planning. Unnecessary duplicated housekeeping reports take a large majority of time away from being able to meet with clients. No training on products leads to unknown solutions which could be presented Frequent requirement to cancel meeting requests with potential customers because of lack of pre-planning of company meetings, or lack of communication regarding meetings until last minute are quickly damaging reputation of company with public agencies from state through local levels

    Advice to Management

    Organize, plan and commit.
Make sure regular employees are included early enough to avoid conflicts for the people you are asking to be customers.
Communication to all parties needs to be consistently practiced
    Improve commitment to potential customers

    Pros

Great company to get your start in. *Used* to be very family oriented, it's a little different now, but still treats employees very well.
Some of the managers are great people that really care about their employees, others act like they're playing in a sandbox. Upper management is pretty good, a little removed from day to day reality. HR is excellent, very accessible.

    Cons

Depending on your position, there is little to no room for career growth.

    Advice to Management

None. I enjoyed my time there.

    Pros

Great experience working in the field and working with various test equipment. Everyone is pretty nice and you get a lot of exposure with RF equipment

    Cons

Starting salary is pretty low and not much room for advancement unless you're willing to travel quite a bit. Small company with a ton of corporate overhead.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees a reasonable salary and understand what it's like to be on call and compensate accordingly.

    Pros

I can't think of any off the top of my head... Sorry The training you get is minimal and really they could use the training.

    Cons

Most of the negative reviews are spot on. This company is filled with a bunch of drinkers, drug addicted morons, gamblers, cheaters, controlling, un-trusting strange management. They hire young kids that act like idiots, wreck the company and rental vehicles but yet praise them and ignore the actual grown up professionals that work hard to get the jobs compete. The owner likes the young ones. There is something strange going on in this company for sure.

    Pros

Learn about new technologies quickly if you are willing to put in the time. A lot of good people to work with. Tons of hands on learning.

    Cons

Upper management waits until the last minute when things are at the worst before making a decision.
    A lot of "double talk."

I have been working at Communications International full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Can't say anything good about this place. Still has a problem with the cliques here. If you're NOT IN with the controlling clique you are an outsider. You have to be a drinker, gambler, hunter, love to cheat on you spouse, and a BUTT KISSER to be included in the group.

    Cons

Can't be a professional. They have their clique buddies put BUGS into the system, misalign it just enough to keep the systems working intermittently, then send you out on the "CALL OUT". They put you in a position to fail.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you get rid of the clique leaders and hold lower and middle managers responsible for doing so. Upper management and the HR group must listen to the front line personnel, They know what is really going on.

I have been working at Communications International full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Solid company, good people to work with. Decent benefits. Fast paced & growing!

    Cons

Pay could be better. No communications or direction from upper management. Very cliquish.

    Advice to Management

Visit and talk with employees. Let us know how the company is doing, where it's going, and what we can do to help.

It would be nice to be able to communicate ideas and concerns without risk of backlash.
