    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Community Care Access Centre full-time

    Pros

The job has great benefits and by that I mean pension, there is somewhat flexible hours, low stress, it's a nine to five kind of job and there is no take home work - thank heavens

    Cons

The job mobility was not the greatest, you were somewhat limited in terms of salary increases. Some people take advantage of the sick days, which puts more work on you.

    Advice to Management

There can be too much micro managing at times and there are a lot of clock watchers, those who are just doing the bare minimum to scrape by.

    Pros

    - Good benefits.
    - Decent pay.
    - Low stress, don't take any work home.
    - Good starting vacation time.
    - Overall, worked as a team.

    Cons

    - Management not trained well, not good at mitigating conflict, did not help to create a good work environment, did not take employees thoughts or concerns seriously, was not empathetic or sympathetic.
    - 0 room for growth.

    Advice to Management

    - More training for managers on how to actually manage a team of people.
    - More opportunities for growth within the company will entice employees to stay for longer, reduce turnover and hiring fees.

I have been working at Community Care Access Centre part-time

    Pros

For this company there are tons of positives like competitive wages, chance to get full time within a year or two. Unionized, getting to work with people, get the feeling you are actually helping.

    Cons

There is no clear cut way onto how to do your job. You have to learn from about 20 other people how to do the job, and everyone does it a different way. You need to have everyone doing the same job the same way. That way it will create less office drama when one person thinks they have done something a certain way.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. Take suggestions on to how to improve. Actually care about the morality of the company

I have been working at Community Care Access Centre full-time

    Pros

Competitive salary, autonomous role, competitive benefits with HOOP pension. Supportive director, team atmosphere, lots of support from clinical coordinators to adequately serve patients and put services in place that have a direct and beneficial impact on their lives.

    Cons

Currently there is job uncertainty across CCACs. However, It is difficult to come up with cons as I get the sense that CCACs try very hard, including the CCAC where I am currently employed, to stay true to their mission and values and deliver high quality patient care.

    Advice to Management

Continue to support and encourage clinicians at CCAC.
