    Pros

Many positions available in many parts of the company. You can work in one location and transfer to another if you move or would like to try something different.

    Cons

Minimal pay with high expectations and no training. If you need help with citizenship they give you the runaround and don't provide the needed paperwork.

    Advice to Management

Provide training immediately upon hiring and be more supportive of your employees needs.

I have been working at Compass Group Canada (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Its a job in a bad economy. Its a big company so there are many opportunities.

    Cons

Overworked/Underpaid. No work/life balance. Benefits aren't that good. There are too many processes just to cover your butt and to be accountable. This leaves little time to actually manage.

    Advice to Management

Treat Managers fairly and there won't be the huge turnover.

    Pros

Great work life balance. Flexible hours.

    Cons

Upper management shows favouritism and does not provide positive feedback or acknowledgement for all employees. Only a selected few. Also these selected few are not always the right person for the job.

    Pros

Good team, good people to work with, benefit package is quite decent, good growth opportunities if one takes initiative in their job

    Cons

There seem to be less and less resources that the managers are supposed to get more and more out of, can be quite stressful at times specially over the last couple of years.

    Advice to Management

Money is important, but if we lose sight of the people we work with and start treating them like commodities instead of persons then it's all for naught.

I worked at Compass Group Canada full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Compass is a great company with a lot of visions and good policies. Compass has great online training programs.

    Cons

Top management is cruel. They are always going through a lot of changes in management. The big bosses don't do their job but when a problem comes they will terminate the lower management without cause. My GM probably met me three times a year. Whenever I wanted to talk to him he will push me away saying he is too busy. I was asked to help by company in other sites which I did and so many times. I am really sad and angry..

    Advice to Management

I wish the company will recognize their good people and get rid of the bad appleS.
