I worked at Compass Group USA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Touchpoint is a company within the profolio. Still trying to find one.

    Cons

Touchpoint is a company within the profolio. Lead by a very controlling new President elect . culture could be great but never gets translated to how managers get treated at the Regional level. Meet the goals or get fired! Nicely. The Midwest is particularly grueling. Poor start up
Planning and implementation. Managers working for months literally with no time off. Screwed up benefits, payroll, transition of employees.

    Advice to Management

Create A safe place for employee feedback. Employees who speak up in this company get fired.

    Pros

Travel and cater to some of the most exciting sports venues in the world. Get to be a part of amazing world stage events.

    Cons

Work ungodly hours. I'm talking 100+ a week. Never really got the time back. Ever. Also a general disregard for the overall wellbeing of their employees.

    Advice to Management

Actually try to look out for your employees. They are the backbone of the company.

    Pros

Compass is a great company to work for if you are looking for a work/life balance. I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years, and this is the best quality of life I have ever experienced.

    Cons

I have discovered some organizational issues since I have come aboard. There are some communication issues, specific to my unit of employment. The managerial philosophies are quite different than anywhere I have ever worked.

I worked at Compass Group USA full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Used to be a caring company that was great to work for and had good benefits.

    Cons

New senior management group that no longer cares about those below them but rather care about making a name for themselves in order to be ready for the next advancement. Don't honor paid time off days or even holidays. For example, they set up conference calls on Christmas Eve. They expect people to work 24/7 and rarely, if ever, even say thank you for this extra time. New agenda doesn't make much sense in regards to the original company objective which is to feed kids good, nutritious meals that they are going to enjoy. They have created an environment of mistrust among middle and lower management - everyone is willing throw others under the bus in order to save themselves.

    Advice to Management

Quit being bosses and ruling through the use of fear and intimidation but instead be leaders that trust their teams. You are going to continue to lose good people to other companies as a result of your actions. Chartwells use to be known for how well they treated their associates, now people can't get away fast enough.
