    Pros

Very nice and smart people. Dynamic environment. The interview was abput your cv and some case of study.

    Cons

There is no cons, I feel comfortable during the first and second interview. They also ask you to present a piece of work.

    Advice to Management

I worked at Compass Lexecon full-time

    Pros

    Salary is pretty much it.

    Cons

You'll get no advice or help from management on anything - onboarding, assignments, career development, etc. Politics rule.

    Advice to Management

Actually manage. You're losing people because they're not getting the experience they want.

Great culture and compensation structure. Interesting projects and chance to work with very smart economists in academia and industry

    Cons

lack of clear promotion path, lack of recognition outside of the industry

I worked at Compass Lexecon full-time

    Pros

Great work, high profile cases, smart colleagues. This company get consulting engagements that are very interesting and intellectually stimulating. Salary is okay but you get paid for overtime which is wonderful.

    Cons

Politics sucks and case managers have complete control over your life. Forget about personal space or anything called work-life -balance. This company does not speak that language. You will become a robot and get disconnected from the rest of the world. You will not have weekends, nothing really.

    Advice to Management

Please hire more analysts or push back on work load. It would be nice if analysts can be allowed some personal time especially on weekends. Employees shouldn't feel bad about taking a weekend off once in a while.

I have been working at Compass Lexecon full-time

    Pros

Work-life balance is key for many analysts. Employees are extremely bright. This is a great place to start a career and segway into graduate school.

    Cons

The industry generally doesn't have the best exit opps outside of school. As at any consulting firm, there are unknowns especially related to career progression.

    Pros

There can be interesting work and you can learn a lot if you work with the right people.

The hours are more reasonable, in general, than management consulting or investment banking, but exit opportunities are not a match to either of those industries.

You will have some very intelligent colleagues.

There is a good PTO policy.

    Cons

The promotion process to the 'professional' staff can seem completely inexplicable, with little to no practical advice given on how to reach that level. The skill levels of those promoted vary greatly, leaving the impression that nepotism plays a key role. You may find yourself in disbelief when considering the likely pay of some of your more senior colleagues.

You are paid overtime, which can be amazing. You can also learn data analysis and programming, but usually SAS or STATA, which is likely not as desirable as say R or Python.

There are no formal training programs of any kind. They do not comp education. The skills of its alumni thus vary greatly.

    The work is not innovative.

Few people will take an interest in your career progress.

You have to know who to work for to fully develop.

    Advice to Management

    Develop the research staff.
