I worked at CompuCom full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Excellent benefits and work/life balance

    Cons

A huge burden on W2 contractors (28-35%). Hard to hit GP% targets. Costly benefits for W2 contractors. Very hard to make high commissions due to high burden.

    Advice to Management

Would like to know why the W2 hourly burden is 10% higher than national averages.

I have been working at CompuCom full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule; paid training; exposure to many environments/technologies; friendly customers; helpful/friendly tech support team; great parts logistics; Worldwide company so you can probably relocate (fairly) easy

    Cons

mediocre pay; no raises; when I started with the company, overtime was plentiful. Now the company wants to minimize OT but expects you still do same amount of work. Company is now moving work to 3rd party (freelancers) and taking money out of its field techs pockets. Dead end job.

    Advice to Management

Employees are not a commodity. Value your employees and they will value their job. You turn good employees bad by not valuing them.

I worked at CompuCom as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great place to work with friendly and helpful colleagues. The project was easy to do and had great people come to help when needed. Good place to work when trying to get your career started.

    Cons

Sadly, you don't get paid enough and the project was short term.

    Advice to Management

Offer better pay and work with you contractors to find better work after they finish a project.

I have been working at CompuCom full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Making our clients/contractors happy is priority one for me and my management supports that. I feel that my manager cares about me and supports my goals for growth. They give me room to run my book of business and provide assistance when I need it.

I have worked for a number of large staffing agencies over the years and I feel like CompuCom cares about their clients/contractors, is fair in business dealings, has a strong work/life balance and I hope to work here for years to come.

    Cons

Training and onboarding new hires for various departments seems to be lacking. We also need more consistent and strong focus on new business development (sales), but with the current business plan that should be changing in the near future.

    Advice to Management

Set up more thorough training for the various departments and people will settle in much more quickly and be confident in their roles. Also, be consistent with direction and goals for Sales so that we can continue to grow - hold them accountable.

I have been working at CompuCom full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Sorry I don't have any unless I'm upper management.

    Cons

Worst paying company ever. Unless you are a manager, Director, or even best a VP, don't plan on making any money even with their comp plan. Lowest paying salary company, you are making money/comp for all upper management. No one stays here and it's because unless you are higher level, you will not make any money. Would not recommend this company, no one who is smart (again unless you are a vp) stays here, upper management does not care about you.

    Advice to Management

None, no one listens to anything, especially the lower level people that get paid nothing oh and there are no raises ever.

I worked at CompuCom full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits and good coworkers, but managers are just there to please the upper management, and nobody else.

    Cons

Corporate influences disrupted the workplace. Always worried about corporate rules coming out of left field that would impact your job security. No room for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Let the people who do the work do it the right way.
