I worked at CompuCom full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

As a manager you can make good bonus money if you're a good cost cutter. (a good layer-offer)

    Cons

The only weaknesses I see are:

    1) the current first-time CEO (and the 2 that served before him)
    2) the junior senior leadership team
    3) the vision
    4) the strategy
    5) the inability to execute
    6) the lack of respect for employees who touch the customer
    7) the loss of interest in "the customer"
    8) poor stewardship of investor's money.

Other than those few minor things, everything else is great.

    Advice to Management

THL: Sell in pieces to a strategic and chalk it up to experience.

I worked at CompuCom full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Most people working there are good people.

    Cons

Now that they're owned by a holding company they are continually cutting benefits and perks. Also no loyalty to employees.

    Advice to Management

Run the company for the long term and not the short term just to make a buck!

    Pros

Wonderful Coworkers, great experience, good for entry level training and experience for Human Resources field or technical support. Some advancement.

    Cons

Employee morale, benefits gradually declined, lack of work life balance, demanding work load coupled with undervalued compensation, have not felt senior exec support in recent years

    Pros

If you are just starting out and need help getting industry CERTs - This is a good way to build a resume and get CERTs. The PEOPLE that Do the job every day in the field and on projects are the talent.. the rest of the pencil pushers forget that fact every day. The People that do the grind every day that you work with are the biggest PRO in the company.

    Cons

Don't expect company appreciation through raises (cost of living or otherwise). Healthcare options went down the tube to minimums, while costs grow in the real world. Perks and bonus are out the window unless you are 'connected'.

    Advice to Management

Sell off the company to someone like HP or Dell that can build on what folks still care about - Good Service! Because in the last few years, this company has forgotten what made it a great place to work... and ONLY feel like covering their own collective butts for the holding company..

    Pros

The company was good 10 years ago. After 3 sales, It paid Bills and the hours were decent.

    Cons

In love with outsourcing jobs offshore to get cheaper pay. No raises in eight years, no bonuses. Rifd anyone who disagreed with them.

    Advice to Management

Stop being money hungry and all about profit. Take care of the agents, they are the ones who make you the money.

I worked at CompuCom full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They gave us free food when we moved to the new building.

    Cons

    * They're moving ALL of the tasks from US workers to Mexico/India.
    * Downsized the building and moved 16 miles north to an extremely busy area due to the desires of upper management (Directors and above)
    * Losing accounts left and right
    * Angering accounts that have been with the company for years due to incompetence
    * Laying off US Workers in favor of Mexico teams or bringing in contractors (not even bringing back the same US Workers as a contractor)
    * No raises/COLA provided to employees
    * Difficult to be promoted unless you suck up

I worked at CompuCom (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Well, people who work here can pay their bills...for now.

    Cons

EVERYONE is just a cog in the wheel, and can be offshored or laid off at the drop of a hat. No value placed on company knowledge & experience. You KNOW they don't value you. No raises, now trying subtly and not so subtly to get everyone at current corporate office to quit so jobs can be moved to Mexico or India, or newly announced corporate headquarters in SC.

    Advice to Management

No value in providing advice as they won't listen and/or don't really care. Let's just say the c-suite boys club in NC/SC shares many traits with the incoming US white house administration.

I worked at CompuCom full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I was hired at Entry Level, so I was able to get the career title I wanted and gain experience in my field of interest.

    Cons

Dead end job. Very low pay. Horrible benefits. Do Not Expect a raise ever in any department. Associates have worked for 10years w/no increase

    Advice to Management

Value your associates. Understand that if there is no chance of promotion or raises overtime your associates have nothing to work towards
