I have been working at CompuCom full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

New (VP) level structure management, realignment of business units have made some positive impacts already. Have always had a great strategy and feel like CompuCom (finally) has figured out those strengths and it is now time to execute and not waiver from direction.

    Cons

All levels do not buy into (or maybe don't know about) the changes needed, so unless you have alignment with strategy from bottom to top, the great ideas never reach the foundation, which is still unstable. Makes it frustrating for those of us who do buy in and care about the outcome

    Advice to Management

Moving in the right direction! Forge ahead with realigning delivery teams and programs. Do not forget the employees (regardless of level) that work hard to get you there. Communicate to them, hear them and most of all respect and value the work they do. Bring back the core values and mean it, somewhere along the way they got trampled on and have not recovered. If employees cannot trust or respect each other (or leaders) the cycle will not change.

I have been working at CompuCom full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people doing the work are great!

    Cons

The people trying to manage the people doing the work...not so great. Unorganized, lack of communication in a clear path for the company as a whole.

    Advice to Management

Treat all business units as if they mater to the company as a whole. Stop treating one or two as if they are what hold up the company. We either all fail or all succeed.

I worked at CompuCom full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Absolutely Zero as I had no positive experience unless on PTO but still was required to work.

    Cons

Having faith in recruiter, Hiring Manager, and CIO as they demonstrated being repeat liars...

    Advice to Management

Decide on a Business model with realistic revenue goals so you can actually give merits & bonuses for first time in 10 years.

I have been working at CompuCom (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Hard-working co-workers who become like family. If you want to work hard for little pay and no raises, this is the place for you.

    Cons

MANAGERS have been told to add positive Glass Door reviews to pump up CompuCom's overall & CEO ratings. What a crock.

Corporate office is moving to SC in December, and company hasn't told current Texas corporate workers what will happen to them. People find new jobs and leave the survivors to pick up the slack (which is probably what the company wants so they pay as little as possible when they close TX office). Horrible environment, with executives doing anything to line their pockets at the expense of average workers.

    Advice to Management

    We. Are. People. Too.

We are NOT here solely to cater to you while you increase your pay & bonus based on our hard work.

    Pros

Good company name for what CompuCom does. Thin layer of management. Easy to go to the top when needed. Active engagement across business lines. Very open good people.

    Cons

Silo'd fiefdoms can make getting things done quickly a challenge. Sales training needs some attention. ntegrate all the business functions into SFDC, too many bridged software platforms.

    Advice to Management

Train new hires on what they sell more thoroughly. On boarding is clunky at best. Open communication about expectations and internal changes are necessary to keep good people in place. I

    Cons

    Pay, Bonus, Environment, No management

    Advice to Management

Everyone should be treated the same, i.e., Work from home policies are from 0 to 4 days a week. Depends on who you are. Job function has no bearing. Pay the employees that do the work. Give raises to others not only yourselves.

I worked at CompuCom full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

As a manager you can make good bonus money if you're a good cost cutter. (a good layer-offer)

    Cons

The only weaknesses I see are:

    1) the current first-time CEO (and the 2 that served before him)
    2) the junior senior leadership team
    3) the vision
    4) the strategy
    5) the inability to execute
    6) the lack of respect for employees who touch the customer
    7) the loss of interest in "the customer"
    8) poor stewardship of investor's money.

Other than those few minor things, everything else is great.

    Advice to Management

THL: Sell in pieces to a strategic and chalk it up to experience.
