    Pros

New leadership, new focus. Although Private Equity owned, still taking care of performers. Investments made in all locations.

    Cons

Still a little decentralized. However heard that there is a new corporate headquarters being built.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. Leadership is working well together and the new CEO is driving execution.

I have been working at CompuCom full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Very flexible and friendly staff.

    Cons

On the Tech Zone side of things, you have to remember, this is essentially a startup. If you need every detail accounted for and ironed out, you are in the wrong place. If you enjoy being a part of building something, and yes that means working without direction quite often, this is the place to be. I would call this a pro, but I know others who haven't experienced working for a startup or a small business that can't seem to deal with chaos. There's no place to hide, but, on the flip side, you will shine if you put in the effort!

    Advice to Management

Keep the path going towards MSP. You CANNOT fail at this business if you treat the customers right, and so far you get that.

I have been working at CompuCom full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

You don't work from an office generally as a tech, you start from your home and end your day at your home, you rarely have to interact with supervisors face-to face (other than over the phone or meetings). Hours are semi-flexible. Mileage and hourly pay while driving to and from service sites. On-call pay.

    Cons

Company relies heavily on metrics as a way to gauge your performance in the field, raises are often conveniently forgotten about or denied for various bogus reasons, no cost of living increases for years on end. Only way to get an increase at all is to threaten to go elsewhere. High turn-around due to low starting wages. High-stress environment, On-call pay is non-negotiable at $12 per 24 hour shift and depending on service area, on-call may be every week or every other week.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with more respect, treat them like adults that you don't have to hand-hold at every step of the way. Reward your loyal employees with more than just "atta-boy's", contrary to what you might believe, employees cannot live on those. Keeping your loyal employees at the bottom of the pay scale and giving them exceeds expectations on reviews year after year and no salary increase or additional compensation is a very cheap and cold way to show your lack of appreciation for the hard work that they have done for you. Metrics are not a one-stop shop for gauging the employees adherence to the processes and how well they perform... There ARE human beings behind those numbers on the spreadsheets you're scrutinizing.

    Pros

Pay check will not bounce, you will get 40 hours. You will be tasked to your limits, change is expected.

    Cons

No raises, bonuses, they will work you to the maximum limits that they can get away with, meeting to plan meetings are mandatory and repetitive.

    Pros

    Nice clients to work with.

    Cons

Management has a major disconnect with what happens in the trenches. Pay is low ball for industry standards.

    Advice to Management

Learn to communicate with your employees instead of assuming and blindly pushing poor situations. There is more to business than just numbers. People and moral drive client acceptance and continued service.

    Pros

The company is adapting to new trends and changes in the IT support landscape. This is opening the door to a lot of exciting opportunities for current and future associates.

    Cons

Growth and reinvention are not without growing pains.

    Advice to Management

Give your ideas time to mature. You have some great plans, offerings, and changes. However, you are quick to change direction instead of letting the idea mature and prosper. Overall you're doing well so keep up the good work.
