I have been working at Compuware full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Compuware, today, is totally different than it was before. I was hired in the 90's, during the high times, and the company was very large, split apart into many different areas. I was fortunate to survive through the low times and thought as many have that this company would not survive. Today, it's totally different. We are very focused, with a CEO that has a very clear vision of where we want to go. There is a lot to do here and a lot of opportunity to grow. The future looks very bright here at Compuware.

    Cons

The largest issue here is resource. Compuware needs talented people that want to learn and grow. This isn't causing us to be overworked, but frustrated in knowing we could deliver so much more if we could find more people. The old image of Compuware is still a deterrent for some people to want to come here.

    Pros

Great company to gain experience, and lots of opportunities for advancement.

    Cons

Long hours at times. Would like to have had more work-life balance.

    Pros

New modern office space, good support with latest tech hardware and software

    Cons

Poor internal process. Too many "fire drills" to be productive. Never time to do it right the first time, but always time to do it over.

    Pros

Great people, benefits, work/life balance. The work is both challenging and rewarding.

    Cons

Not a whole lot of team-building/outside of work activities, but that is certainly improving.

    Pros

Compuware experienced a renaissance when Thoma Bravo acquired them and the company was split up. The mainframe side became smaller and much more agile with a very aggressive growth plan. Work is exciting

    Cons

Expectations are high so don't come in expecting casual.

I have been working at Compuware full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Downtown Detroit! Equitable place to work with great people. Plenty of opportunities to spread your wings and take ownership. The rewards one receives is based on the effort they put in. Ancillary benefits include the gym, cafeteria, unlimited free coffee, and free parking (your friends and family will be impressed!).

    Cons

Sometimes our speed of innovations causes some stresses. Management and team leads need to be cognizant of this and guide team members to calmer waters.

    Advice to Management

Instituting some form of hack day would be a great way to improve our culture of learning and innovation as well as boost employee happiness and knowledge.

I worked at Compuware (More than 10 years)

    Pros

People were awesome. Most management was great. Salary was good.

    Cons

Those in sales got away with allot. In the beginning you had a good client you could do nothing else but just renew that client and you were set for the year.
It became a very numbers oriented company and that was its downfall. That and BP.

    Pros

Great product offering. Best in Class

    Cons

At the time management was focused on the sale of the company. Should be corrected by now.
