    I have been working at Comunilife full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    This organization has excellent benefits. They are made tremendous progress the last year and a half. Our technology has improved, they are providing staff training, we meet biweekly with the senior vice president who helps and provides direction. They have filled the many gaps with staffing and we are being heard! The environment and culture is a supportive and encouraging one.

    Cons

    working for a nonprofit means that the salaries and wages are much to be desired;

    keep listening to your staff; the holiday party was a blast

    You start off nice and helping clients with their issues but end up disliking the work because of mismanagement.

    Cons

    This company has issues with upper management control. They hire people with no knowledge of their job position and yet they want to come and boss you around. They have no respect for the employees because they think that you must jump at their command. They commit errors and look for who to blame except themselves. They hire you for one job and end throwing other things at you and refuse to pay you. They explode...

    CEO Dr. Gil is losing so many good people that started here and helped save the programs because upper management want to act like they own you and you are a peasant. They also like to throw their projects at you and sit back while they are sleeping with employees and not doing their work. You are not trained by upper management and yet they expect you to do the work for them that they themselves don know how to do....

    Pros

    The various amount of programs really allow you to build experience with different types of client populations which is great. The staff is diverse and fuse together well. Lots of training and certification opportunities.

    Cons

    Horrible upper management. They are very discriminatory and cliquey. They will talk about staff and spread rumors and lies to justify write ups and termination. Zero support or meaningful supervision. You are pretty much left to figure it out on your own. Policies change with the seasons and you’re expected to figure it out with your magic ball. CONSTANT turnover at every level with no team consisting of the same staff...

    Learn what it is to actually support staff and not berate then. Look up the words honesty and integrity. Stop bullying and minimizing staff and clients.

    You can learn about social worker from your own experience. Some of the people are kool while others are not.

    Cons

    The list are too many. As a case manager you do more than what your actually job is. The superviors and managers lack common sense and tbey will have you work until late at night and not pay you over time. The like to micro-manage employees and treat employee unfairly. They lied about having an educational program and they dont pay you equally even though you may have the same title as the person. Overall the best part...

    Pros

    there are good people and managers that want and can do well. The work that the company does for clients is gratifying.

    Cons

    The executive manager Cifre shames managers every Thursday by talking down to us. What is the point of meeting weekly just so that we can leave the meeting feeling embarrassed or ashamed because Cifre shamed us in front of our coworkers. She is tactless, disrespectful and simply mean spirited. She is a bitter woman who cannot find it in herself to thank staff or provide support.

    Advice to Management

    Rosa Gil if you want your employees to stay working for a long time then you need to remove Rosa Cifre. Please come and talk to each manager privately so that we can share what happens every Thursday. The lip program is suffering because she doesnt know how to supervise people. Why do we have to come from brooklyn and queens every week to the bronx? Those weekly meetings are not productive although we appreciate the...
