    Pros

Benefits are decent and the company has financial resources.

    Cons

Nepotism is prevalent. This results in unfair hiring and promotions. Within the culture you have to suck up or you won't move up in your career.

    Advice to Management

Start treating employees with respect and fairly. Judge performance by actual merit and not who you are related to or suck up to.

    Pros

Benefits are ok. Tuition reimbursement is pretty good

    Cons

The union has way too many responsibilities that they cant handle but wont give up. Engineers are often just pushing paperwork and not actually doing engineering. Standards are terrible, resources provided are sub par, support is sub par, salary is sub par. Overall I would look elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

you have highly qualified individuals doing work that can be done by people with high school educations and work that should be done by qualified individuals being done by people with high school educations. Probably not a good thing. Also salaries suck.

    Pros

Pay is Good and ok benefits

    Cons

It is the"Old Boys Network" Do not support, promote women well and do not pay women the same as their male peers. Advertise that they promote diversity but that is only in writing not action.

    Advice to Management

Make Changes. Improve the low morale of the employees don't just write it. Care about your female employees

    Pros

salary and benefits meaning, medical and 401 and stock options.

    Cons

Yes I agree all Racism and Discrimination, favoritism. I sat next to a coworker to verbally and emotionally abused me for years; they all knew about and did nothing and should have moved one of us away from the other. The person was creating a "hostile environment" oh the real kicker was this person's boss was a "labor attorney". How convenient. I was not able to transfer to another department nor would they remove one of us from sitting near the other. This person was insanely jealous and vicious. The final kicker was when they hit me in the head opening the bathroom door and stormed out in front of me and when I reported it 2 months later HR sees me, and 2 months later I am let go. Also my parent died passed away; after being there for 12 years not one of the employers "attorneys" I worked for had the decent capacity to even send a card to say sorry for your loss. They basically want you to kiss their backsides to the point of where it is so nauseating to watch in front of everyone else so it is more than just "knowing your job" if you don't suck up and take it up the (blank) they want nothing to do with you.

    Advice to Management

Advice? A day will come where they will abuse the wrong employee and I am sure they will get physically assaulted when they walk out of the building because the people in the company work their hands off to the bone. It is all political phony act.

    Pros

Company offers great pay as well as many opportunities to advance.

    Cons

Customes are number 1 regardless of anything so many times employee morale is fairly low

    Advice to Management

Talk and listen to employees for better ways to improve the overall employees as well as customers experience, they are the ones who talk the customers

I worked at Con Edison of New York part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some Benefits, medical, 401k, stocks program, paid job training

    Cons

Too much micromanaging, too much monitoring of times (even bathroom breaks time is logged), lack communication with procedures, start part time and sloooooooowly progress to full time, no other depts there at night so can barely resolve issues, management gets lazy at times to assist taking deescalation calls, movement to other positions doesnt matter as much if you are qualified it depends on seniority and most spend on avg 6 yrs as rep before doing a LATERAL position to another dept. , feels like assisting a customer is not a priority with all the reports about reps

    Advice to Management

Communicate better with reps and supervisors about procedures and assist each other if something looks off in reports or accounts. Notice who is good at certain traits and have them use them to better teams and companies. Dont get over your head with micromanaging

    Pros

Great people, very helpful. The company is making changes to increase work life balance but not everyone is on board yet.

    Cons

Budgets can be handled properly so the entire department isn't behind budget by June

    Advice to Management

I believe it would be a great place to work if only the upper management listen to their people and takes action.
