    I worked at Con-way Freight full-time

    Pros

Good Pay, good benefits, stable company, They offered opportunities for advancement and a good relocation package, excellent employee training and always looking for ways to improve the company

    Cons

Started out as Con-way and really valued people who helped them grow and expand than something changed around 2012 and upper management started alienating the tenured employees who were there at the start

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Lots of flexibility with your schedule. Fast paced work environment and new challenges to overcome everyday. The pay is ok, and you have a lot of opportunities for growth.

    Cons

The lack of upper management support you receive can start to become a real issue. Also the lack of company structure.

    Advice to Management

Develop a better training program to help develop new employees and supervisors. Also need to ensure you have better lines of communication throughout the company.

I have been working at Con-way Freight full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You get uniforms and get a weekly check.

    Cons

Don't even know where to start. Or lie to start with. They hire ppl with no experince or knowledge of the freight business for lower managment. When there are hard working ppl giving 110% at the bottom with all the knowledge and know how .killings them selfs just to advance to make a better life for there families. But just to get crushed seeing someone from the outside take that postion away. And what really gets me half of those new hires end up leaving. Don't you think that someone who gets paid peanuts and has been there for yrs,. Will stay on board even longer getting paid more in there new postion. It don't take a @#$%*% guiness to realize that. Keep wasting money training someone new every time one of them quits.

    Advice to Management

Stop freakin lieing to these dock workers who work there butts off ,thinking they will advance in the company.
