    Pros

used to be a great place to work with great benefits and friendly people

    Cons

brought in a new CEO who doesnt give a crap about any of his employees. Got rid of anybody with over 10 years experience to hire all young people. How's that working for you SEAN? Heard not too good.

    Advice to Management

    Get rid of the management.

I worked at Conagra Brands full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Ability to gain experience in various areas of finance. Provided summer hours and transportation from the office to the train station.

    Cons

Management not concerned with development beyond moving you between areas or brands. Rankings based on voting by managers, many of whom never interact with you.

I worked at Conagra Brands full-time

    Pros

Solid benefits, base salary, hitting bonus, new hires in a good place. Making a number of smart moves on resetting the base.

    Cons

still cutting people, workloads getting worse, management an old white guys network - with a fraternity house style - you're in or you are out

    Advice to Management

Figure out your top management layer - still obviously too layered - then either buy to expand or sell ... oh and when you say act with integrity 10 times a week - you probably aren't doing so

    Pros

Enjoyed co-workers. Challenging and interesting work at times.

    Cons

The move downtown was not appealing to all.

    Advice to Management

Be careful what "talent" you are looking to find in the city without valuing all those that have years of company experience.

I worked at Conagra Brands full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

If you are want to learn about marketing food, this is a good place to start. The brand's cover many categories in grocery and mass. If you work on a focus brand, you will learn a lot.

    Cons

The new ConAgra cares about two things: driving shareholder value and cronyism. It does not value employees or culture. It does not value the food it makes. When Sean took over, he said he was going to get rid of management layers, to push the decision-making down. What he meant was that he was going to bring in new management layers who would help him clean house. The money to move from Omaha and Naperville to downtown Chicago must have been staggering, and it could have saved many jobs. But he only cares about his trusted inner circle. How many "Chief" officers were brought in? The company eliminated good qualified people, but then moved others from across the country to fill these positions. Why? They were white men. It's a modern day "Emperor's New Clothes" where all the yes-men are around and the people who invested their time and energy were let go.

    Advice to Management

A company is more than a balance sheet. Changes were needed, but the people who created the mess kept their jobs while others who actually did the work were eliminated. While integrity was touted as a key value, the company did not act with integrity. People and company culture are important.

    Pros

The people I worked with. The work was fun when I first started at the company.

    Cons

I worked for the company 5 years and survived 3 major layoffs. The last major layoff that occurred left our team of 8 with just 2 people. (myself and one other) The work was not prioritized and we were told to just figure it out. It was hell.

    Pros

    Summer Hours
    Casual Dress code
    Compensation
    Opportunity for Advancement

    Cons

    Constant restructuring
    Work-Life Balance
Lack of direction- I still don't think this company has any clue of where it's going.
    Low Morale

    Advice to Management

It's unfortunate that the attitudes of some senior leadership can really impact and create a hostile work environment. These negative dynamics are not rectified fast enough creating churn. So many great employees pass through these doors due to organization disarray and negative leaders. Most of the mid-level employees are really awesome people but if you're not a favorite of certain leaders (despite reasons out of your direct control) your progress is stunted.. Cut the favoritism. Treat your employees better.

Flexible work environment (work from home, can adjust hours to meet your schedule)

    Cons

    Changing leadership
    Frequent reorganizations
Leadership lack of trust in employees, high level of involvement in brand strategies
Too much focus on short-term vs. long-term performance

    Advice to Management

In order to change behavior and culture, you need to change the leadership
