I worked at Conagra Brands (More than a year)

    Pros

The people are simply the best. Everyone is very friendly and easy to work with. The environment is fun and enjoyable.

    Cons

The organization's hand is being forced by the overall industry to be a leaner organization. Which has led to jobs being cut, and an uneasy environment.

    Advice to Management

Keep the all inclusive environment alive. It was awesome working in an environment where I knew everyone was accepted regardless or race, religion, or creed.

    Pros

Great management and training. Great work life balance. Fantastic benefits! Love working for a innovative company that listens to new ideas. Fantastic cross function groups to collaborate with.

    Cons

Not enough travel opportunity. If you have concerns it's difficult to see anything handled as far as change with human resources

    Advice to Management

Be sure to recognize your people and accomplished

    Pros

Good pay and benefits. The people are great to work with. Very professional and results driven. Rewarding company for those who work hard. Would definitely work for them again.

    Cons

Overall a good company to work for. You won't get rich working for them, but will make a healthy living. Many job losses over the past couple of year, but has stabilized now.

    Advice to Management

    None

I have been working at Conagra Brands full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Opportunity to be part of changing the way we go to market. You need to embrace change.

    Cons

Takes time to change a large organization but we're making progress. Lot of hiring outside of company vs internal promotions.

    Advice to Management

Continue to value your employees and allow flexibility in work life balance.

I worked at Conagra Brands as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Interns were well respected at ConAgra and had access to consistent mentorship and guidance. I got to work on a couple meaningful projects, which gave me the skills I needed to land my full time position. There were also tons of extracurriculars that gave me better insight into the business and the industry that I really appreciated.

    Cons

There was not a lot of structure around the switching of roles. I worked one role for 7 months, and the next only for 3. These switches happened at different times for different interns too, so people were always joining and leaving teams, which was a bit disorienting.

    Advice to Management

I would recommend management to give the interns more ownership and visibility into the role selection process. And I would recommend that offers for full time positions go out earlier, before the interns get antsy and look around for (or accept) other jobs.

I have been working at Conagra Brands full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Salary in Omaha is awesome

    Cons

Fewer people for the same amount of work, decision makers can't articulate what they want, limited, if any, development, limited work perks, no travel, no catered lunches, etc.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your high performers otherwise they will leave. I've seen so many talented people leave and tribal knowledge is lost. Rebuilding (if possible) takes so long and performance suffers.
