    Pros

New headquarters in Chicago great for unencumbered 20 somethings. Be prepared to move if you want to stay viable.

    Cons

Just finished several rounds of layoffs as part of company transformation. Idea is to imbue the company with fresh blood, new ideas. Warning: If you are 40 or older you need not apply. New CEO has a record of seeing companies through transformation. Setting company up for further sell-offs and/or acquisition/mergers. Keep your head to the ground and have a backup exit plan as your job could be next.

    Advice to Management

Aggressive cost cutting to the extent that employees are not allowed to make a straight flight home reduces employee morale. The recent decision to do away with of 5 and 10 year anniversaries to save budget makes employees feel unappreciated. Invest in your employees and they will GIVE you more.

    Pros

    Good Pay and benefits package

    Cons

Too Many hours / No concern for employees

    Advice to Management

Stop worrying about silly corporate initiatives and let supervisors do their jobs. Meetings are not the way to lead employees.

    Pros

Very fair vacation benefits, one of the reasons I stayed for 2 years. The ability to transfer to other divisions within the company and a good infrastructure

    Cons

Does not understand core business at all, purchased and divested my division within 2 years at a significant loss. Too many layers of management, you can't do anything at the local level, every decision big or small must go through corporate management ( that may or may not know anything about your business)

    Advice to Management

Cut a few layers and let the local management do their job, difficult to advance

    Pros

Family business atmosphere because of the employees

    Cons

On paper they had a way to develop employees, in reality it was not practiced. To be promoted once needed to know how to navigate the company politics.

    Advice to Management

Develop employees because they are the future of the company

I worked at Conagra Brands full-time

    Pros

Solid benefits, base salary, hitting bonus, new hires in a good place. Making a number of smart moves on resetting the base.

    Cons

still cutting people, workloads getting worse, management an old white guys network - with a fraternity house style - you're in or you are out

    Advice to Management

Figure out your top management layer - still obviously too layered - then either buy to expand or sell ... oh and when you say act with integrity 10 times a week - you probably aren't doing so

    Pros

    Cons

Leadership not very strategic, nor were they very good at collaboration.

    Advice to Management

Need to sell many under performing brands
