Really think about if this is what you want....

    Pros

Aside from free breakfast and lunch (at least at my location in Stamford) there is absolutely nothing else that could be considered a "pro" to working here.

    Cons

Too many to list, but I will give it a shot. Bear in mind before you write this review off as coming from a disgruntled employee or 'bad egg' that I have worked at Conair for some time. I get excellent reviews and am well regarded by my peers. First, senior leadership with very few exceptions represents the absolute worst that you could imagine. Favored employees are allowed to remain with the organization indefinitely, despite their skills and/or contributions having eroded a long time ago. Their incompetence and lack of professional demeanor is masked by the fact that they are NEVER TO BLAME for any shortcomings in the company's performance. It is always someone else. Most often, junior members of the team. There is no upward mobility based on merit. You receive promotions and raises at fairly specific intervals of time, more or less regardless of ability. An exception can be made if you are particularly favored by the CEO. Examples of that permeate through the organization. Let's put it this way... The favorites, for the most part, did not become that way for their workplace contributions. Sales meetings (if you want to call them that) and meetings in general are often abusive in nature. Marketing and sales associates are routinely called out in front of their peers for perceived failings. The statements that are often made wouldn't be appropriate in a high school locker room, much less a professional environment. It contributes to the fact that morale has reached a new low. Good people, with a long history of success at Conair, have left. More will follow...

    Pros

The people at Conair are all amazing to work with, each person works together as a team to successfully develop products and ultimately increase profits - it is seriously like a family!

    Cons

Unfotunately, the technology used at ConAir is completely outdated, and often times the computers will malfunction, causing a delay in work as a whole.

Nice people; not well organized, managed nor do they reward employees fairly

    Pros

Free breakfast and lunch daily Nice location (not the building itself which is very old but the grounds and surrounding areas are breautiful)

    Cons

Raises are very minimal and do not reflect increases in dutie, responsibilies or position Bonuses are miniscule - one of the biggest company's I've worked for (with NO DEBT may I add, by far the lowest bonuses I've ever recieved or heard of) Preferential treatment given to friends of managers/executives Office politics comes into play largely at Conair. Internal relationships affect how others are treated and it's quite obvious and uncomfortable.
