      Career Opportuniy

      May 17, 2016 - Center Medical Director
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Strong leadership team. Very approachable and reasonable bosses. A very nice place to start a second career in healthcare. Potential for longevity is strong. A very pleasant work environment. Mostly low key.

      Cons

Like any business, there is a matrix side of the business. Numbers have to be met. Have to get used to 'practice standards' for patient care.

Co-workers are great but corporate policies aren't good for patients

Dec 1, 2020 - Center Therapy Director in Fort Lauderdale, FL
      Recommend

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Good pay/benefits, Mon-Fri schedule, interdisciplinary approach

      Cons

Too corporate! They say they are all about patient care, but their priority is really about efficiency/productivity and maximizing profits at the expense of the therapists sanity and quality of care for the patients.

Don’t take any offer don’t work for this company

      Pros

      None really except for 401k

      Cons

Won’t give employees the tools to help advance in the company. Worked for the company for 12 years only missed 2 days in the 12 years. Applied to advance in the company and they would not even consider me but they hire these other managers that think they know it all NOT smart decision. The higher ups won’t even give you the time of day they are more worried about the bottom line instead of patient care.

Is it really worth the lack of work life balance.

Feb 20, 2020 - Assistant Center Operations Director

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Decent Benefits, Decent pay. Lots of room to move up.

      Cons

Very metrics based model. Less focused on patient care, more on turn around time’s getting patients in and out QUICKLY. $$$ focused. Little recognition on positive, more focused on what you are not doing to make the metrics. Unrealistically high expectations of leadership within the centers.

Can't say anything good and it's getting worse

Jan 6, 2020 - Certified Medical Assistant in Baltimore, MD

      Pros

      Dedicated clinicians and clinical staff.

      Cons

Unrealistic goals with no regard to staffing levels or patient safety. Staff level is based on irrelevant data. There is no room for emergencies or time consuming cases. Concentra is advertised as a 'walk-in' clinic, but patients aren't taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Urgent care patients are forced to the end of the line. Patients continually wait for hours because there is inadequate staff. EVERYTHING is on a timer. They continue to hire center management with no real-world patient care experience. Training is through mediocre slide presentations. Nothing is done hands-on. Day-to-day supply inventories must be justified. Reasonable-cost vaccines are abandoned in favor of higher margin ones.

      Pros

Good job for a fresh new MA student! You learn so much and would be a pro once you gain knowledge and experience. Off on weekends (Certain locations) Great hardworking employees that are willing to work as a team to have a productive day. Great Providers!

      Cons

Environment/ Workload could be stressful. You only get a bonus if your clinic/location meets the company quota or production. Wait times are horrible, I felt sorry for patients! No pay raise, benefits sucks. Short staffed! PTO is used for everything (Holidays, Vacation and Sick) This company only cares about patient volume and not patient care! Over work the employees and don’t want you to get paid for overtime, smh!

      Pros

      Fulfilling job, mostly great coworkers

      Cons

Pay below going rate for radiographers. Insurance sucks. The company says its all about patient care and your site is graded on it, but it's really about the all mighty dollar. If your site revenue is less than the year before then everyone gets hours cut and therefore patient wait times are longer and patient care suffers because less workers. They have made the possibility of bonuses harder to earn and cutting workers has made it worse. These rule and budget makers have never cared for a patient and set really unrealistic goals and don't let you have the supplies needed to reach the goals.

      Pros

Somewhat close knit employees. Great physical therapy department, everyone is willing to help out in terms of employees and their patients. Great patient rapport.

      Cons

working for the larger corporation and seeing the patient care based off of those standards. Higher stress on employees due to the demand on meeting minimum patient quotas for the day/week/month.
