I have been working at Conco Systems full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I make decent money there due to all the overtime that we get. I like getting per diem for food or whatever you want to get.

    Cons

Traveling and missing the opportunity of spending time with my new baby. You never know when your leaving and how long you will be gone.

    Advice to Management

Treat the employees better and not like easy replacements

I have been working at Conco Systems (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people, and a great place to work.Conco has really helped and my family out a lot. I get to travel and meet great people, and the pay and overtime is pretty good too.

    Cons

If you have a family and are married it can be tough. So I say make sure that your spouse and kids have a good understanding of you not being home because you are trying to build a better life for them.

    Advice to Management

If you are a hard worker that willingness to listen and want to move up in the company, they will give you the opportunity. As long as you are not a troublemaker.

    Pros

One of the biggest things I value about working for Conco inc. is that they give their employees opportunity for advancement. Management has worked hand and hand with staff to complete the mission with great leadership, communication and innovation.

    Cons

The only thing I can think that could be negative about Conco inc is that work slows down form time to time. This company runs on government contracts which is not always steady all the time.

I worked at Conco Systems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The job after initial adjustment on your body, hands mostly, is relatively easy. Most people on the road with you are good guys to work with, id say 80/20 in terms of good guys vs bad attitude or laziness. Per diem is a nice bonus while on the road. Shifts go by pretty quickly while you're working but drag pretty badly during downtime. A lot of people complain about the service side owner but I felt that was unjustified, she's just a straight forward no bs woman, if you work and don't refuse calls you'll never have an issue.

    Cons

Unfortunately, most of the 20% guys I listed in pros are supervisors, with quite a few of the supervisors leaving other employees scratching their heads as to why they were even promoted based on their personalities, work ethic and intelligence. Although you make decent money when you're working because you cant spend it on the road for 3-4 months, you are significantly underpaid. You'll find that people hired by the plants to sit and watch the holes you're working in make 2-3 times more per hour than you. In j
June, July and some of August as well as the end of November, all of December and part of January you are left to fend for yourselves with unemployment due to lack of work. So what looks like could be a good year for you in April and May quickly screeches to a halt. Health benefits are horrible in terms of what you pay vs what you get. There's a disconnect between the office and those in the filed which leads to a lot of frustration. There are former road guys who work in the office that are miserable and difficult to deal with and quite arrogant.

    Advice to Management

Raise your pay to adjust to industrial standards, happy workers are eager workers. Improve your benefits, they're quite substandard. Overall communication between office and field is atrocious. Quit promoting unworthy people, they drive morale down on the job sites.

I have been working at Conco Systems full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Easy to be promoted to supervisor, good earnings during the busy time.

    Cons

Dead end job, supervisor is pretty mich the highest one will go. Hard job to keep with a family very frequent travel with short warning, hard to make plans or set appointments, can be called to go out of town without warning. Very, very hard to be promoted to a position where one would not have to travel. Most non travel positions are hired from outside the company.

    Advice to Management

Find a way to rotate road workers, so that a certain number of workers are on call and make that list available to the workers can make appointments when needed. Try to do more promoting from within the company, especially to your road workers so that there is hope of getting off the road and not seeking employment elsewhere.

    Pros

they keep ex drug addicts as supervisors that have failed multiple drug tests in the past cause he "makes them money" long days , pay is sub standard your the lowest paid contractor at the power plants the big shots walk away with a smile at the end of the day not you.

    Cons

not many you get to fly al over the country

    Advice to Management

leave your 60.000 cars parked at the shop and get out and get your hands dirty like your bread and butter does 12 hrs a day seven days a week
