I have been working at Concur full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Concur is great company fill of awesome people with leaders who encourage and cultivate innovation.
They try to keep a transparent with changes and how decisions are made and why.
    Good work / life balance.

    Cons

The raises are a little lacking. Difficult to stay financially competitive over moving to another company.

    Advice to Management

Review how raises are given in the non-sales org.

I have been working at Concur as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Concur is a really innovative company that seeks to invest in early and young talent. Most managers are eager to hear the perspectives and ideas of interns and new hires within the company. There is a great deal of room for growth and expansion of ideas and programs within this company, which make it a fun place to work at. The culture is inviting, welcoming, and geared towards a greater success.

    Cons

The current, future, and on-going merger with SAP has left some Concur employees questioning the future of Concur; such as the company culture, growth, and even daily routines.

    Advice to Management

Continue to be prepared for early talent and interns, many who take part in the on-boarding process at Concur are eager to contribute, but that may be difficult if the manager over the intern or new hire has no starting point as far as a project or work.

I worked at Concur full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Entrepreneurial, inspiring management, great products that customers love and are sticky

    Cons

SAP integration painful for HR and finance employees. Changing systems, processes, org all at once. German risk-averse culture vs. fast-decision making previously = frustration.

    Advice to Management

Push back on SAP integration, especially anything related to product and sales. They will ruin what they paid $8B for.

I worked at Concur full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Staff training, company culture, global workforce, end less work opportunities. SAP structure will help, good to employees, well looked after

    Cons

No customer service, lack of innovation, old and tired products, slow moving, needs new blood, needs to reinvent it self

    Advice to Management

    Focus more on customer service

I have been working at Concur full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Work at home, flexible hours, great co-workers.

    Cons

Lack of career growth unless you: want to move into management or have a masters in some computer technology design. A lot of systems positions - the higher level ones are in Europe.

    Advice to Management

Have alternate career path options for those that don't want to be in a management role - and don't want to attend school again for another degree.

I worked at Concur full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good opportunities for career growth. Good managers (no micro managing). Flexible work environment. Overall good culture. Once in a while I felt the company was lazy in recognizing your bonuses but overall I felt it's not a bad place to work. The management was flexible with my personal situation and let me work remote on multiple occasions.

    Cons

Hard to think of any. Few times I felt the managers don't help much with the career growth but at times that was not an issue. The employee training programs are missing.

    Advice to Management

Increase team building events. Have a budget allocated to send every team member to send for some additional training programs or boot camps.

I have been working at Concur full-time

    Pros

    Work-life balance - Flexibility - Great Culture

    Cons

Although it is a large company, it sometimes feels like a start up. I've been in a couple different roles now that have lacked organization or thought out career paths

    Advice to Management

    Be more transparent
