I worked at Concur full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent wages and benefits package. Will definitely develop you as a professional.

    Cons

Uncertainty around effects of SAP acquisition. Occasionally sales management can expect unrealistic movement on deals (daily) during quarter end.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing.

    Pros

Working from home gives you some schedule flexibility. Lower management takes you seriously and listens. Coworkers help when in need.

    Cons

Very hard to get a promotion? While lower management listens and take you seriously, they seem limited and unable to take your recommendations and promotions to fruition.

    Pros

Really do live up to letting you design your own future and allow you to stretch your innovative capabilities and encourage in-going learning and improvement.

    Cons

Needs to work at really clarifying future career paths and providing executive mentorship programs. Upper executives are smart, but middle management can get stuck in the mud.

    Advice to Management

Focus on employee development and the product will continue to be innovative.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Concur full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pace of work, management won't flood you and cares about your personal life and well being. Team members around me are very supportive, I have learned a lot of new skills.

    Cons

Main HQ is in Bellevue and I feel like moving up involves relocating. But that also varies probably with what area you are working in, for example...All R and D jobs are in another office in MN where other depts are all over the world.

    Advice to Management

I honestly have very little complaints or major pain points that I would communicate upward. I guess reward employees more, profit/stock sharing, bigger bonuses for finishing major projects. All that money probably just goes to sales people only, not the IT project management that completes the actual project.

I have been working at Concur full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Concur is a great place to work with a strong sense of teamwork.

    Cons

Company has a mantra that they are strong believers in work/life balance, but when it comes to budgeting, they expect more work out of less people. All departments seem to continuously be short staffed. Not enough people to keep up with the amount of work.
