I have been working at Conduent full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

If you want to be an agent for change, this is for you.

As those who don't want to "get with the program" leave, opportunities will open up for those who stay. (Career progression is reactive, not proactive.)

Shifting work from the US to India creates many opportunities for India employees, as long as the compensation/benefits package is competitive.

Corporate mandates that attempt to foster a "One Conduent" culture can unify a broad and diverse workforce if executed in a way that employees will perceive that there are benefits to them personally.

    Cons

If you can't tolerate an enormous amount of change, this is not for you.

As those who don't want to "get with the program" leave, the burden to "pick up the slack" often falls to those who stay. (Succession planning is reactive, not proactive.)

Shifting work from the US to India at an unreasonable and risky pace with little consideration for the impact on clients is a dangerous way to run a business.

Corporate mandates that attempt to foster a "One Conduent" culture can be demoralizing for those employees who just view the changes as take-aways.

    Advice to Management

There is a perception that many decisions are made top-down without any consideration for the employee perspective. Many changes feel like hurdles that are continually being put in front of employees that prevent them from working productively with a reasonable amount of job satisfaction. The corporate leaders are determined to get to the "next place" as soon as possible, which has some logic to it, but not if Conduent loses many talented employees along the way. It's doubtful if anything will change in the short-term that managers and employees will point to as something positive --- in the end, you're either going to stick it out and hope for a better outcome or jump ship and hope that another employer has something better to offer. No guarantees with either choice, which is why so many employees are anxious about their futures.

I have been working at Conduent full-time

    Pros

People are fantastic, teams are great, very good leadership. Excellent training.

    Cons

Very little growth or opportunities to advance. Company VERY tight...little to zero raises and offered benefits too expensive and too little value.

    Advice to Management

Invest in people and think long term. Senior leadership has to stop thinking in 3 year terms to protect their jobs and think of the company as a whole.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Conduent full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, flexible scheduling/ work from home options (based on seniority and other factors), good work-to-life balance, options for professional growth

    Cons

Positions (and teams) are being outsourced rapidly, focus on quantity of work over quality, efforts at increasing profits affect integrity of work

    Advice to Management

Client respect is fundamental in maintaining contracts. While globalization efforts are critical in maximizing profit and production, some recent decisions neglect prior commitments to clients and may impact the company's reputation negatively. Changes are already being staged, but please realize that maximized company profit should not be the only gauge of its success.
