I have been working at Conestoga-Rovers & Associates full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

You can pursue what you want if it makes business sense and you're prepared to work hard. Almost flat corporate structure and easy access to leadership. Great safety culture and when things get tough you're treated like family. If you're looking for a career, not just a job, advancement and compensation will follow.

    Cons

Personalities can hinder progress if pigeon holed with a manager. Satisfaction and opportunity is too dependent on managers. Merger transition is a bit unsettling. Recent emphasis on credentials over experience is detrimental.

    Advice to Management

Systems are a means to an end not an end. Identify the demoralizing managers and cull the deadweight before good people leave.

    Cons

Some projects are remote and require time and distance away from family.

    Advice to Management

Continue with the ergonomic improvements and encourage level and open communication between staff.
