I have been working at Conformis full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexable work environment. Benefits are on par with most companies. Some co-workers are nice. But that's really all there is to offer.

    Cons

CAD Department offers no room for advancement. Pay is meh. Don't ask for a raise because they'll probably tell you that you're not worth it. Work is BORING. Projects are handed out to select few. Any person with some CAD experience could do the work. Overseas operations are going to start replacing U.S. workers.

    Advice to Management

Reform the CAD Department. Engineers should be trusted and allowed to do actual work. Open communication between R&D and CAD would improve response time and allow CAD to participate in other work. Get rid of the overseas operations, it's bad for company image.

I worked at Conformis full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible hours New technology Tour of manufacturing facility was insightful and helped further understanding of the business

    Cons

Engineers should not be hired to be CAD monkeys Growth opportunities are limited Advancement system has minimum required time period in position regardless of output/performance

    Advice to Management

Be honest in the interview process. If you skew job growth or advancement opportunities to look like they exist but don't actually exist, you'll lose the candidate anyway.

I worked at Conformis full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The technology is the best on the market for this type of procedure and medical benefits are relatively competitive.

    Cons

Management deceives young engineers into believing they are being offered an engineering position. The work done in the CAD department is not true engineering and is overall detrimental to a resume. Base salary is ~$15k below market value for an entry-level engineer. CAD engineers are pressured into working long hours and there is very little opportunity for advancement. Management purposely stifles open discussion between...

    Advice to Management

Be honest about the open positions in the CAD department. The high turnover rate is due to hiring engineers into a position that a college freshman could do.

I have been working at Conformis full-time

    Pros

Flexible scheduling. I'm required to put 5 words in here, but I can honestly not think of anything else to say

    Cons

Micro management, repetitive work, hostile work environment, petty office politics, middle management with zero experience dealing with people

    Advice to Management

Just because someone can design a fem jig well doesn't mean they are a good manager. You're not a young start up anymore, get yourself together

    I worked at Conformis full-time

    Pros

Built great relashonships with some co workers.

    Cons

Technology is actually not that great or novel like they make you believe. Take a look at the stock history. Working here follows that same trend. Do not come here as your first job, it is a dead end. Get out as soon as you can and move to a real company.

    Advice to Management

    Let the company die.

I worked at Conformis full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good benefits...literally that is it. The technology could be great if it was in the right hands.

    Cons

The work culture completely depends upon what department you are in. Lay offs are currently happening at the company and the company has never been profitable so don't work here if you're looking for something stable and worthwhile. As others have said the employees are over worked and under appreciated.

    Advice to Management

Create a friendly work culture that doesn't make coming into work miserable. Mend the gap between management and employees.

Great product and a great place to start your career and the culture is above average but was slightly above average when it's location was in Burlington Ma.
