    I worked at Conformis

    Pros

Strong leadership team who are concerned with making organizational improvements continually and helping their employee's improve as well. Benefits were great, HR invested in employee programs and interests, strong salary for entry level positions.

    Cons

Communication would sometimes be an issue, but I've had similar experiences with many organizations so they aren't breaking new ground in that department.

    Advice to Management

Keep showing your employees that you care about improving the organizations strength and helping them along with their career paths, your efforts to be transparent are appreciated and show as a sign of strength organizationally.

I worked at Conformis full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Awesome technology combined with great clinical results makes this a rewarding place to work. Yes, it is hard work, and there are often long hours, and there are often mundane tasks, but where else can you say that you are part of a team that creates an implant system specifically designed for one individual person?

    Cons

ConforMIS will be challenged with growing their business model, can a single unit for every person be done? If ConforMIS can figure out which projects to prioritize to drive sales, lower costs and increase throughput, this company will be headed in the right direction.

    Advice to Management

Correctly prioritize projects, hold employees accountable for actions, but do not rush them into making mistakes using unrealistic deadlines. Create and maintain good relationships with customers and build up the operations team!

I worked at Conformis full-time for more than a year

    Pros

No a good place to work and lack of management experience.

    Cons

Don't have room to grow professionally...and don't care about their employees. I will not recommend this company if you have a 4 year degree college.

    I worked at Conformis

    Pros

Good Hours. Able to work from home. Location is great

    Cons

Micro management. High volume of work and hard work is extremely unnoticed. When you put in all your effort to make a drastic change and promotions are handed out to the wrong people, especially those who don't know the work. HR is a joke, to many "friends" and is unable to be trusted. The gossip is horrible and the environment is unfriendly.

    Advice to Management

Never look past those who work hard and try to make a difference. Those who cry "why me" are those who don't have the companies best interest and are just seeking to much attention and for all the wrong reasons.

I worked at Conformis full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Competitive benefits, ample PTO, flexible hours

    Cons

Management in the CAD department has no idea what it's doing. While it's nice to see supervisors who have been with ConforMIS for many years, they have simply risen in the ranks to managerial roles with no real training. It become apparent when supervisors are unable to solve simple conflicts, and insist on not trusting their engineers with some of the more challenging non-production projects. There also is horrible disconnect...

    Advice to Management

I hate to say it, but having stopped hiring CAD Engineers with 4-year college degrees has been the smartest thing this company has done. There's no reason to hire someone for the CAD position with anything more than a 2-year degree. If there are CAD Engineers you want to stay, you should treat them that way and at least promote some of them. A minor change in title can go much further than you think. Before you know it,...

I worked at Conformis full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Some coworkers "get it". Flexible work hours, despite constant urgency to work weekends.

    Cons

Management is terrible! HR isn't any better. Just a "yes" department, obviously on Managements side on each and every issue. HR has many conflicts of interest, just plain rude manners, lack of respect and biased.

    Advice to Management

Resign and let others who are more qualified to come in and run CAD, QA, MFG, ENGINEERING, ACCOUNTING, and yes, even a more qualified CEO woukd help.

I have been working at Conformis full-time

    Pros

Flexible hours in terms of when you can come in, great coworkers, plenty of places to go for lunch in the vicinity, and lots of parking spaces for your car.

    Cons

There is a minimum 9 hour work day requirement (45 hour work week), where they like to point out that your break for lunch should not be included for that. There is a false pretense of looking out for the patients we design for, as well as the people who work here, but all that really matters are the productivity numbers. Despite every school and business in the state closing due to winter storms, this company refuses...

    Advice to Management

Analytics and statistics are a useful tool for aiding your decisions, but at the end of the day they're just numbers on a chart. Human input and interactions should be valued above such things, and the opinions of those who work for you should be considered heavily. The cogs in the machine know how to improve the system better than someone who is casually observing from the outside.
