    Pros

Promote from Within, great tuition reimbursement program

    Cons

Within the facilities you can feel like an outsider

    Advice to Management

Give some attention to hospital-based staff. I've seen this issue across all markets

I have been working at Conifer Health Solutions full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Not sure anymore as it has changed in the last few years. There used to be good people there but most have left or been fired or forced out.

    Cons

No communication. No clear direction. Retaliation if you report a member of management. Do not invest in leadership. Zero training. No one wants to hear the truth. Management would rather fire you than fix the real problems.

    Advice to Management

Senior leadership needs to have a town hall with middle management. Stop retaliating and fix the issues. Learn to communicate. People are leaving in high volumes because this company has went downhill fast in the last 3 years. Conifer is becoming a joke. Look at the type of people you are hiring and contracting. Not an upstanding company anymore

I worked at Conifer Health Solutions full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Work from home, work life balance

    Cons

Severely underpaid, inconsistent and inadequate training, inconsistent auditors; ridiculous production expectations, mandatory overtime when they are hurting bad enough. One manager is an LPN supervising numerous RN's, the other is not even a nurse at all. You are expected to justify every minute you walk away from your computer for "downtime," you aren't even supposed to be checking your email or rebutting audits while working. They actually tell you to do that before or after you clock in, so essentially they are asking you to work off the clock which is ILLEGAL. The benefits are average, paid time off is awful. If you work here you could also be subject to sexual harassment and major favoritism.

    Advice to Management

LPN's should not be supervising RN's. Organize your structure, stop playing favorites. Turnaround is expensive when your training lasts so long so prevent people from leaving with good leadership, not one that micromanages and another who makes female employees feel extremely uncomfortable. Also upper management and executives shouldn't be sleeping with people they supervise.

    Pros

Working from home and that's it.

    Cons

    Constant changes.
    Favortism in management.
Issues being covered up by management.
Unable to have a steady day due to multiple changes in workflow almost weekly.
Auditing was being tampered with my using "downtime" to make bonuses.

    Advice to Management

    Not worth my breath.

    Pros

This is the most gruesome place to work. The stress level is insane, and there is so much back-stabbing. So many things are messed-up that everyone blames every one else to cover their themselves
They pay next to nothing, unless you are a top executive - they make bank.
CEO is great in Texas, but the Encino location is a stress factory.
I'm looking for a job as are a lot of my coworkers - but most have left or are on stress leave.

    Cons

The managers in Encino are the absolute worst. They all talk behind each others back., and blame each other for the failures. They treat the customers like ...

    Pros

    Getting paid relatively well overall

    Cons

Not getting a bonus for a period worked because you moved.

    Advice to Management

Let managers know when they give notice that they will not receive the bonus they earned and why. Be transparent.

I worked at Conifer Health Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

None. There are no pros to Conifer. This incompetence is costing many people their jobs and livelihood by 1/1/17. There are no pros at all.

    Cons

Before you apply at Conifer, please know that Conifer has completely destroyed the Phoenix Health Plans organization. PHP has been part of the Phoenix community for more than 30 years but will be losing its Medicare business and Marketplace business on 1/1/17. There are many long term employees that will not have a job right at the 2016 Holiday season.

    Advice to Management

Realize that your inability to run a health plan is costing many people their jobs and livelihood.

    Pros

    Pros

Good benefits, competitive salary, and bonus structure.

    Cons

Executive leadership changes during growth of organization caused significant disruption to the organization. Lack of direction, hiring inexperienced directors to run established departments, overall deterioration of company infrastructure.

    Advice to Management

Hire smart, listen to input of long term employees before more good employees leave.

I have been working at Conifer Health Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Opportunities to get a monthly incentive bonus from $180-$350 a month. Flexible hours and you can work from home. Pay scale is ok to be at home.

    Cons

Micromanaging and lack of communication from management. There is a push for production over quality and bonuses are almost impossible to attain. The health insurance is only beneficial for Tenet employees NOT Conifer employees in this area. There is "punishment" for not making the unrealistic production numbers.

    Advice to Management

Happy employees will work harder than miserable ones.
