Pros
It's a job I supposed.
Cons
Upper management is not in tune with employees. They are only focused on a few of their favorites. Not fun to witness.

Pros
Conklin Company is a great place to be employed. The company itself is full of potential for the Hardworking and Self driven employee. Great Benefits, Great Amenities. There is a Conklin Family attitude to all that are employed here!
Cons
That a company that wants to display itself as and have a small town feel struggles to be competitive with all the updated new age technology in the world. Wanting to have the technology available but not moving towards a completely web based system.

Pros
Conklin is loaded with some of the most qualified and competent employees I've ever worked with. Everyone is incredibly helpful and thoughtful. One of my favorite hallmarks of Conklin is the willingness of everyone to pitch in when needed. There isn't a "That's not my job" mentality here. As I mentioned, I'm grateful for discovering this company and look forward to a long career with them. If you are looking for company that's not to small but not to big, take a look at Conklin.
Cons
The owner (Charles Herbster) is very deliberate in his decision making process. If you haven't planned well, this can seem frustrating. Plan for your proposals to be thoroughly scrutinized and allow enough time for them to be scrutinized.

Pros
Excellent products, convenient location, nice facility and staff.
Cons
Conklin Company is the ONLY company I am aware of that still does something for their employees at Thanksgiving. The owners, Charles W. and Judy Herbster care enough about their employees to provide the entire meal-turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy. If employees WOULD LIKE TO, they are able to bring in "side dishes" and desserts to complete the meal. Some ungrateful employees complain about "having to" do this. Besides the meal, Charles and Judy give each employee a gift card for a local grocery store to use towards their own Thanksgiving meal or whatever. They do this in place of the turkey that companies used to give employees at Thanksgiving. Conklin also provides a Christmas/holiday party which includes a meal, prizes & entertainment. Conklin pays ALL of their employees dental insurance premiums for the employee AND their families. How many employers do this in this day and age?

Pros
Flexible about taking personal time off, and employees
Cons
Just about everything else. Management feels only they can solve problems and older employees don't know what they are doing when problems come up. They are old school and can't do anything new. Seem to be in a mindset to get rid of older workers and hire younger people for no other reason than the new managers they just hired want to hire their own employees.

Pros
It's refreshing to work at a company with a family atmosphere where customer service is the top priority!
Cons
I regret that I didn't find a job at the Conklin Company earlier in my career.
