Conns provides an opportunity to earn above average income. Training is constantly provided to ensure that the sales associates are up to date with the latest promotions and best practices. Sales huddles occur on almost a daily basis in an effort to encourage the team and to build morale. A lot of professional development takes place as you get to build your customer relationship building skills and sales techniques. Advancement opportunities are definitely available if you show you can effectively handle the job. The finance options and special promotions that Conns pushes absolutely help close deals, which earns you more money.
Cons
Favoritism is blatantly shown to top writers, who most times get away with things that other associates do not. Due to the competitiveness of the job, disagreements can often occur between sales associates. Maintaining a positive work environment can be difficult when this happens. Work/life balance can be a struggle as the hours are long especially during the holidays when you get extended store hours and only a mandatory one day off a week. The sales bonus structure is designed to be extremely difficult to obtain.
