I have been working at ConnectiCare full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Compensation is fair, opportunities to make a difference are high

    Cons

Hours can be long at times

    Advice to Management

Keep seeking input from employees; there is a wealth of knowledge within the tenured team members

I worked at ConnectiCare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Compensation is good. Met a lot of good people. There is a cafe onsite.

    Cons

Ridiculous metrics to meet, cut throat environment, the management is not helpful, there are a few favorite people who are given the opportunity to grow, good luck taking time off, hard to get out of the call center.

    Advice to Management

Care about your employees and all of the cons will be better understood.

    Pros

    Sense of community and purpose
    Great paid time off benefits
    Competitive salary

    Cons

None worthy of mention. Some of the negative comments about micromanaging in CS were referring schedule adherence which is a call center norm and comments were exaggerated.

    Advice to Management

Keep open to bringing in outside employees with a wealth of experience as they will help the company continue to innovate.

I worked at ConnectiCare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Local on site cafeteria. Close to home. Connecticare has one office. Free food once and awhile.

    Cons

Management in the call center play favorites. Audits are not random, individual picks and chooses calls to audit. Individual nit picks the call apart. If you are one minute late, its held against you. Getting time off, even for 2-3 hours is like trying to get a pissed off customer happy again. Days are ALWAYS closed. If you can't get the day off and take it off anyways, its considered unscheduled. Might as well take two days off instead of 3 hours off, it counts the same.

    Advice to Management

Be fair to everyone. Be fair about people taking personal time off!

    Pros

Good exposure to senior management and a friendly work environment. Great benefits and vacation days and a great work life balance

    Cons

Most things are not well structured and communication interdepartment and intercompany is sub par. Everything is a fire drill because expectations are well defined.

    Advice to Management

Have a more organized calendar with hard deadlines

I worked at ConnectiCare (More than a year)

    Pros

    some nice co-workers, decent cafeteria

    Cons

    - worked at a lot of tech companies, this was by far the worst experience
    - IT projects are chaotic - too many contractors
    - tech behind the times
    - passive aggressive help desk - elusive managers

    Advice to Management

build your in-house IT organization and stop relying on contractors. If you're going to lock down developer computers, hire help desk staff who are actually helpful.
