    I worked at Connecticut Business Systems full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    -Good product that people recognize -Excellent training process not only for their company but sales in general -Ability to Work from Home(in some locations) -Freedom in the field -Quotas are scaled and you work up to higher numbers

    Cons

    Promotions are not based on numbers generally its more of about who your boss likes more Never will give you a raise "you should be getting more commission which will give you a raise" In the five years I worked for CBS-Xerox the company has dramatically changed and is almost going against its believes and core values stated in previous years. Bro-Culture

    Advice to Management

    *Leaders should lead by example* Too many double standards- managers would not even come to work half the time but reprimand you if you are 5 minutes late... etc Micromanagement is going to lose you more great employees

    Leadership wants you to succeed. They were all promoted from within so they get it. Lots of room to grow and training is honestly the best I've ever received from a company. Mike made it fun and didn't try to cram it all in. Loved the regroup sessions because it's alot to learn.     You get out what you put inn. Low base for the area but no cap for earnings with commission and bonuses. Uncapped income really but not for those who aren't willing to do the work. Must give it your all.

    Get better coffee.

    Antiquated thinking and poor treatment of sales and support staff on an institutional level. Many cases of Nepotisim and favoritism are in place.     Very tough to find positives here ... as a sales executive, one looks for a position where they truly can be in charge of their own success or failure. If one is successful, they would expect to be praised, and if one fails, they would expect to be coddled by management. At CBS , there really is no difference in how you are treated, whether you are one month in, or ten years in, 150% of plan or 25 % of plan. Keep this...

    Great opportunity for business and a relatively easy job as long as you stick to the process. Great training upon hiring. Company has fun events like sports games and trips if you hit company goals.

    Cons

    Tight and rigid schedule. It is a benefit to those who enjoy a structured 7:30-5:00 type position.

    Some (not all) of the admin management. Hours are good.

    Seems to be a trend within the reviews, because their admin salaries are super low. As someone else said, the pay between departments is around the same, even though some positions are not as difficult as others. This place is like a roller coaster.     the hours, having holidays off

    unless you are in sales you are not paid well. the entire admin dept has the same pay scale regardless of what you actually do. the perks everyone mentions are for the sales employees. they laid off multiple admin employees stating they needed to cut back, however most of the positions were rehired witin a year

    Advice to Management

    pay according to the job functions performed. if you do, you will get a better class of employees with a lot less turnover
