I have been working at Connection full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great coworkers and hours.

    Cons

I was told I'd be a second shift lead a few months ago, but now I keep getting excuses. I have 10 kids and a hefty wife to feed, so I need that $10 raise I was promised.

Also, a lot of people are quitting because of Management constantly threatening our jobs.

    Advice to Management

    Fire yourselves.

I worked at Connection full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible with personal time off for vacation
Opportunity to learn sales skills on the job that can be used elsewhere

    Cons

Poor pay compared to rest of industry
Company has do more with less mentality
Will work employees out the door
Too much attention put on dials and talk time over quality and emailed business

    Advice to Management

Invest in more people instead of being cheap and working employees to death and be more modern with the way business is done like email or working from home

I worked at Connection full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This company has decent benefits and overall a good culture. The only reason I stayed with the company as long as I did was because of my customers and my coworkers, NOT including any management. Interview process was thorough and timely. HOWEVER, this is a case by case basis.

    Cons

POOR management. Everything is great here until you need to ask for help. While the sales training team was wonderful, they cannot hold your hand every minute of the day. new hires still need guidance and support from their managers at times, things that were non existent from my manager. HR was completely useless, a bunch of children who don't understand a thing about employee/employer relations or conflict resolution.

    Advice to Management

Stop letting unqualified people run your sales teams.

    Pros

    Good training
    Office environment
    reasonable growth path
    competitive pay and benefits

    Cons

Uses personality and other assessments which are highly discriminatory and rule out very qualified and hardworking candidates.Company hides behind supposed 'experts' that peddle these biased testing regimes. The fact that the company would prevent a good worker from coming on board shows their lack of humanity. I for one am telling everyone what a horrible management mentality this company has.

    Advice to Management

Do away with tests and have some courage to do face to face and dont hide behind sterile tests created by ivory tower types who havent had a hard day in their lives

    Pros

Other employees were fun to be around. The company trained you on IT infrastructures and sales tactics.

    Cons

Cold calling IT staff was probably the worst part of this job.

    Advice to Management

Not sure what to say over all management treated everyone well.

Not a whole lot of pros here, Resume builder

    Cons

Cutthroat sales, unattainable goals, Micromanagement is terrible, goals go up every month for 2 years

    Advice to Management

Leadership is terrible! Show a little more appreciation to the new hires all you guys care about is the big dogs. You ask too much of your Account Managers

I have been working at Connection full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Work/life balance, compensation, time-off policies

    Cons

Culture, career movement/upward mobility, lack of innovation, poor internal data systems, management

    Advice to Management

It's obvious management will stop at nothing to carry out their agendas, even it means suppressing career advancement/job sabotage for employees. Taking credit for others ideas, insensitivity to diversity, and bullying employees are not well received - it's highly dysfunctional and unprofessional. Management blocks the tools necessary to be successful in an individual contributor role, so they can take credit for large opportunities and projects, as well as maintain control. I will be sure to discuss my experiences with colleagues in the industry to bring awareness to the negative and unethical activity rampant throughout this company.

    I worked at Connection part-time

    Pros

They have a nice café that has good food. It's a little pricey however.

    Cons

Don't let the job description deceive you! They use a lot of fancy words to make it seem like you are applying for an important role. It's not until you are sitting down at your desk on day 1 that you realize this is not what I signed up for. Meetings are held almost everyday and they are never useful. The only purpose they seemed to have was for people to give themselves a pat on the back. If you enjoy being bored to tears then this is the job for you!
