    Pros

There are no pros to this company unless you are in management and reaping all of the rewards from the hard working slaves they have underneath them.

    Cons

The management is terrible and they will work you like a slave. Do not work here unless you want to be driven to the point of exhaustion everyday like a hamster in a wheel. They don't care about their employees well being and will drive you out and turn against you at the first sign of cracking under the pressure.

    Advice to Management

Fire the managers you have that work in this department.

I have been working at Connection full-time

    Pros

They give you a base, but retrack $5,000.00 of it after 2 years

    Cons

Company does not train very well. Scattered training. Supervisors have their pets and everyone else suffers. They don't care about you and your career growth only that you bring revenue into the pot. They are there for the dollars and they under mind anyone who challenges their authority. HR doesn't seem to get involved in the high turnover, so that makes me wonder where they stand. Management also has their picks. Very unorganized company!!!

    Advice to Management

They need to throw out the supervisors you have in house and start over from scratch. You need to only hire people who have IT background and spend the money in a system that works. Too much going back and forth with one system to another and still have issues floating. HR needs a revamp too. Their concerns for turnover is lacking.

I have been working at Connection full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great Co-workers and Shift Leads.

    Cons

Management plays favorites, nepotism everywhere (Our Supervisor supervises his brother, Mother works with Daughter, etc.), our Configuration Lab Manager has no experience and looks bewildered and confused at all times.

I have no faith in our HR to protect employees and even less in our Director.

    Pros

At least they are in Florida

    Cons

Disgusting how people get promoted because they are like by upper management, and because of those poor choices the companies bottom line suffers. And the person that got promoted never gets blamed

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Connection full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Weekly Paycheck(even though it does not pay the bills)

    Cons

5 Billion/yr Company, Yet starting pay for most is close to what you earn at a fast food job. Within this year we have lost several highly certified techs to jobs for more money, and they do not even try to correct the issues.

This is leaving shifts to be under staffed and over worked for most of the year. Several people are taking on more roles within their department with promise of promotion and raises, But the company never keeps its promise on this. We are told with get raises for every Comp TIA cert we get, but it can take months(up to 6months) to get that raise and then they do not always back pay you for the entire time. We have been told weekly that we all are replaceable at any moment.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Connection full-time

    Pros

    Great work environment
    Flexible hours
    Overtime
    Friendly management
    Decent benefits

    Cons

Level 1 help desk team consists of employees originally hired as data entry clerks or as400 operators. A huge amount of level one work ends up at level two due to the lack of experience and basic troubleshooting. Troubleshooting more advanced issues is very difficult when most of my team's time is spent on petty tickets that should have been resolved at level 1.

    Advice to Management

The help desk at Connection is referred to by many as the "no help desk". This is because the help desk is being managed as a call center, not a help desk. Some real experience and basic troubleshooting skills are desperately needed here. Even the most simple issues slip right past the help desk. People have told me personally that they don't even bother calling the help desk for support because they are never actually helped, instead they go directly to the DSG team completely defeating the purpose of a help desk all together.

    Cons

Too much attention put on dials and talk time over quality and emailed business

    Pros

It isn't Softmart anymore. Nothing else.

    Cons

Harassment is tolerated, and seems to go on with no ramifications. A manager can openly use racist language with HR knowledge and not lose their job. All in all, not a professional environment.

    Advice to Management

Pretty simple, if you drop the N-word on multiple occasions with the knowledge of half the company, you should probably be fired on the spot. HR openly makes fun of Glassdoor reviews when they should be taken seriously. HR also sweeps harassment complaints under the rug.
