I worked at Connells full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Being able to get out of the office to do viewings

    Cons

Forced to work over my contracted hours every single week - this was not just meeting the needs of the business it was forced labour, targets were set too high and there was too much petty nit-picking. Viewings were back to back and a lot of the time were impossible to travel to. I wouldn't use Connells to sell my place. Breaks were difficult - couldn't really leave the office a lot of the time, it was the worst place...

    Advice to Management

Try not to bully staff by putting people down in front of others, try to nurcher a bit more. The Southampton area branch managers need to tone it down a bit with their attitude towards staff.

So sorry to hear your poor review but we do have 600 branches employing 7000 hard working and talented people, unfortunately it does not work for everyone, we will not condone bullying of any kind in our business and have a very experienced management team to make sure if it ever ...

I worked at Connells full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Many company products to make commission from, opportunity to meet many good negotiators and to share positive results and routes to success

    Cons

To many cheifs that lead their team by intimidation and threats. Very poor service provided to the vendors who are encouraged to only accept offers from buyers that will earn the company the most money! Very poor basic wage and stingy commission structure, employees are encouraged to conditionally sell company products to bolster the poor commissions, if you conditionally sell then the amount of commission you can earn...

    Advice to Management

Stop letting Branch managers from high earning branches have impunity to bully their staff! Look after your staff at all levels, a happy employee is a productive employee! Moving your workforce around so regularly is unproductive! Stop lying to your customers and stop encouraging conditional selling in employee training courses. Stop allowing your insecure and unhinged Branch Managers impunity to harass their staff members,...

I have been working at Connells full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay Excellent training Clear progression Great products Pay can be useful Having a good manager is a God send

    Cons

Long hours Pressure High targets Not all staff are team players Not everyone is on the same pay Staff turnover is a real issue

    Advice to Management

Mortgage consultants are working very hard and it's a tough job. Many people leave due to the work schedule and pressure. I enjoy the job but it's such a problem to get everything done and make sure there is no problems with cases and it's easier said than done. Bonus structure could be more fair.

I worked at Connells full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The office was in a beautiful town

    Cons

long hours, bullying management style, steal your commision when you leave. All round terrible experience. Especially the management in Warwickshire. Staff turnover tells you everything. AVOID AT ALL COST AS YOU WILL REGRET IT. unless you like being abused, then it could be for you.

    Advice to Management

There is a life outside of Connells where the grass is definetley greener....
