    Great company - until oil prices dropped, so sad to see it now

    Selling a lot of assets, morale low.

    I worked at ConocoPhillips full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Good pay, good benefits, good coworkers. Even during the downturn with two rounds of layoffs, the company has treated it's employees well.

    Cons

    While oil prices remain low, don't look for much career growth. There were more opportunities before the split between the downstream business (Phillips 66) and the upstream business (ConocoPhillips).

    technology, offices, proximity to home

    Cons

    outlook is very scary.. Selling a lot of assets after spinoff.

    Take ownership of failure from spinning off downstream company. forced to sell assets at discount.

    A never ending road to pander to Wall Street.

    Advice to Management

    Pay attention to world supply and demand and realize crude prices are not going to recover in the near term. If you are losing billions cut the dividend!

    Fantastic benefits, truly committed to a providing employees with a good work life balance, 9/80 workschedule, competitive pay

    Ranking system flawed, as with any company there are lots of office politics within certain organizations

    Cons

    Even if you are a high potential candidate, a bad boss can ruin all career acceleration. Downturns suck.

    Advice to Management

    Stop hiring as many people. Have better programs to effectively eliminate lower performers and highlight higher performers on better scale.
