I have been working at Conrad's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The management is one of the best to work for. They are chill as long as you just do your job well. The job isn't difficult, it can get really busy and a little crazy. Nothing people can't handle.
The pay for drivers is better than most places and I've worked at several delivery places. You can make anywhere from $50 to $150 in tips during a shift of 10+ hours depending on the night and if it's game day. The most I've seen someone make on a game day is around $300, don't expect to get that often though but it does happen.
The delivery zone is small and the delivery amount is pretty large which is awesome.
This is a great place to work thru college and after, you wouldn't be disappointed. The money is best for delivery drivers. You also get minimum wage while driving which helps a ton.
And best of all you get a set schedule!
Total pay including minimum wage is probably between $12-$20 an hour. With an average of around $15 per hour I'd say. This varies quite a bit depending on the days you work. Weekend nights are obviously the best.

    Cons

Honestly, there aren't many but I'll try to pick something. Game days can be hectic where it gets a little frustrating, but that is where you make the most money. Expect to get asked to work big drinking days and game days, they won't force you, but since they are good people you feel compelled to help out if you have nothing going on. This doesn't happen too often because usually people want the big money that comes with those days, but always help out if you can. You usually get thanked for it.

    Advice to Management

I dont know if this going under the right company so to clarify it is Conrad's Grill in East Lansing, MI. A wrap and fried food place.

    I worked at Conrad's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Learned a lot about many different kinds of cars. Also learned that I DO NOT want to do this as a career.

    Cons

Pay is horrible, co-workers are mean and don't care about anyone else. Managers are off the street and come and go every few months. Stupid polices and do not adapt with the times.

    Advice to Management

Get to know and appreciate you're employees. Be willing to pay them what they deserve and quit being so cheap.

    Pros

Good starting job, decent profit sharing

    Cons

The ratio of required work hours to pay/benefits isn't near balanced.

    Advice to Management

If you compensate employees appropriately, it will help to foster deeper loyalty and having a deeper loyalty results in employees working harder for the company.

    I worked at Conrad's full-time

    Pros

Keep busy, never bored, decent earnings potential if you work for it. Management at store level can be awesome.

    Cons

Some people can't handle the long hours or work environment. Customers not always the friendliest

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to be more in tune with employees at the store level. Don't come in there guns a blazing until you understand what is happening from that level.

    Pros

The Company itself is a great company
    Paid Bills

    Cons

Upper Management will do what they want to do instead of working together to create a common Goal. The Customer is always right and will give away the farm to make the customer happy. NOTE TO SELF: THE CUSTOMER IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT!

    Long Hours,
Bad Pay unless you work overtime
    Pay Scale Really Sucks
    Training Sucks (non-existant)

    Advice to Management

Remember Where You Came From to Get to the place where you are. You Do not have to Kiss Butt to keep your job. The people that work under you is the reason the business grows.

    I worked at Conrad's full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Conrad's has a lot of good people that are working to make them the top local source for automotive repairs. They do continued training and have great reputation in the areas that they are in. They also look for innovative programs to help get people into the shops for service.

    Cons

The expectations set in the initial interviews didn't seem to line up with what was found on the job. I was told that this was a 40-50 hour/week job when really, 50-65 hours were expected. They had plans for expansion when I started, but those came to fruition a bit slowly. Also, the innovative programs they start to get people into the shops typically start out very cumbersome for the staff and make things difficult.

    Advice to Management

Roll out new programs more "finished" for the shops. Make things a smooth, and easy transition. A little more time could make a big difference.
Setup the correct expectations for new hires.

I have been working at Conrad's full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Pay is ok, job is not difficult, company is stable, it's tough to get fired (like you have to do something dishonest or really stupid)

    Cons

Pay is not balanced, lots of turn over and staffing issues ALWAYS.. Things could be more streamlined and uniform across all the locations, being so tough to get fired- there's no real drive for people to win so u have a bunch of underachievers that you have to rely on

    Advice to Management

Hire, train and retain the best people used to be the montra .. Now it's number 4567 has been low on sales, maybe they need to be transferred, demoted or put on notice.. You are beating your head into a wall.. Start listening to your top people rather than rolling with whatever notion you come up with on yournown
